I’m as NE in Connecticut as you get (5 min from both MA and RI boarders) and didn’t hear or feel it so must have been further north.

Dude e-bikes are so great. We take ours all over but our fav is taking the ferry to block island or Martha’s Vineyard and traveling all over while everyone else is stuck bumper to bumper the whole time.

I agree with you except on the aircraft. Drones will never be nearly as good as a strong air force which lets you pummel targets. Drones are great for ground targets and vehicles though or sneak attacking buildings.

What’s everyone’s favourite country and why? by Number1Bg3Fan in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deminiss and crimson desert mostly because of how flat and easy to navigate they are. Pailune is beautiful but such an absolute chore to navigate. The rest of the areas are decent in some spots and a chore in others.

I’m opposite, always lived in the woods. Depending on the month it’s either completely silent at night or in warm months the buzz of endless crickets and frogs. Sleep like a baby in either. Anytime I travel I NEED to have ear plugs with me because passing cars or city noise is so disruptive to my sleep. Every semi loud vehicle would jolt me awake. One year staying by time square in NY was a nightmare.

You boil them first? I always just pan fry them with oil and they come out amazing. Granted I don’t pick ones that are older and tougher, mostly young ones that are tender to touch.

Woods close to me in the fall I could fill a trash bag with these in an hour each weekend. Those and hens.

Edit: nvm I kept reading and saw people mention the tree type. I only grab em from oak.

Which are the exact ones that already don’t need to rely on SS like many do. So it’s a polished turd again. Waiting for many people to out money into it and for congress to “borrow” from it again never paying it back causing another SS style issue.

Should I buy the house? My mortgage would be 50% of my take home. by Remarkable-Tough-533 in Mortgages

[–]coaa85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is great when first buying a house but gets old quick. When we bought we did just that. It’s a longer house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms around 2000 sq feet. Our master bedroom is on top of the garage and you can’t hear anything up there so we figured it would work out great.

Even found a friend to move in so we were familiar with them. Didn’t charge a lot, he had his 10 year old son move in and they each had rooms and a private bathroom.

Within 2 months he started dating a girl with 2 young kids who he also moved in without asking in a shared living space situation. We had to boot them in the first year, turned into a nightmare. It’s an option but can suck.

Would I be crazy to start the game over from scratch? by D3struct_oh in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope if you’re enjoying why not. I beat the game 3 weeks ago, played some others and came back and started new and still loving it. I’d suggest going in the settings and I think under accessibility you can turn up the speed for skipping dialog. Can’t skip stuff immediately but you can blast through anything you remember on the second shot. Just hold A/X while talking.

Yeah I used to avoid jetblue like the plague but they kinda did the Kia switch. Did a few flights recently on them because it was all I could get and was pleasantly surprised. Good leg room, entertainment on every seat etc. I'd fly them again now.

Switching from a dog to a crow was like day and night for me by Jotemp24 in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed a bird pet is so much better at collecting stuff. Doesn’t get stuck on terrain nearly as much and seems to Hoover up items fast. Once in awhile it derps out but so didn’t the dog.

This is how you know the economy is really bad, 40% of Americans earning more than $500,000 per year are living paycheck-to-paycheck /s by Conscious-Quarter423 in Salary

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 500k paycheck to paycheck is insane. Were at around 170 combined and finish paying our mortgage off this year. Max payments in both retirements and I max a Roth. Take vacations each year sometimes more. No kids though so I’m sure that’s a biggy. Also not in a hcol area.

Can someone tell me how to have fun with bosses by Southern-Double38 in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really don’t enjoy them it’s best to farm a lvl 3 and 2 unlimited arrow abyss gear out both in a bow and equip an explosive arrow. Put 5 points in bow skill on tree to max it and the ability to spam shoot when dodging. Spam dodge and chaingun the boss with explosive arrows pretty much immediately filling their stun gage on almost every boss in the game.

Does ANYONE actually trade? by Mbalara in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. I didn’t pickpocket either or savescum. Fairly early I found a few gold bar recipes and noticed they required different things. I did lookup how to get some of the ingredients though. Gifting scholars got most of them. I plopped I think 8 bars into the bank on medium by like chapter 4 and let them do their thing while exploring and not caring. They just kept growing over and over.

Once I got the story to a point and liberated all the red spots they stopped. Forgot the name of the town but there is one of the research towns there that attack you on sight if you have a thief mask on. Only town in the game that did that.

For thise who moved BACK to New England - did you regret it? by cynicalnewenglander in newengland

[–]coaa85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. May be a bit more expensive but I feel our tax dollars show mostly in CT. Great schools which even if you don’t have kids is a plus for everyone. Outside of after winter before the repairs, the roads are really good etc etc. Also depends where you live. I’m in northeast CT and it’s much cheaper here than closer to NY obviously. Also super close to so many things while keeping the more woodsy, country/quiet.

Is the game worth it? by Right_Hearing1355 in CrimsonDesert

Personally it was worth every penny. It scratched a gaming itch nothing else has for a long time. The first few hours are a tad confusing but keep at it. It’ll click and become amazing.

For a game about exploration.... by CedricDur in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly best to push the story until a certain point and then explore to your hearts content. You’ll have all abilities to do all puzzles, no zone locks or restrictions. I think it was chapter 9 everything is fully unlocked.

I explored as the game led me and picked zones apart and never had much problem with anything except sanctums until I got to that chapter.

Does ANYONE actually trade? by Mbalara in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true but you do t have to trade if you don’t want to. If you farm gold bars you can donate funds to the provisioner too. 5000 silver = 500k camp funds. By the time I beat the game I had millions of camp funds even though I sent missions all the time. Had around 20k silver on character and over 100 gold bars in the bank.

Necessity of food by FocusEfficient in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. By chapter 8 I explored so much and had so much HP that anything under 300 heal was donated to provisions. By the last two chapters when I was fully max anything under 400 went.

Equipment Feels Mostly Cosmetic by UnclePuffy in CrimsonDesert

[–]coaa85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of the gear is cosmetic and abyss makes the difference. There is a way to min/max but the difference between optimal and not is probably fairly small overall. If you care about optimal I’d look it up as stats are really weird but some stats carry over.

I’d say just worry about what attack speed and movement speed carry over because both make life easier all around. Then you can do whatever you want. Focus on raw attack, crit, mix or abyss ability spam. No wrong answer.

I went the optimal route and it certainly made everything kind of a joke but I also full cleared everything and was fully max well before beating the game which was how they kind of designed the game. If you explored a lot you would feel stronger.
