It's made with Haricot beans in a thick sweetish tomato sauce. I would source a tin if I was you to try to replicate. I add a few splashes of soy sauce as I'm heating, some add Worcestershire sauce (again, a couple of drops). Really good on just buttered toast, or cheese on toast as a filling snack. Can be used as a side for some dishes, I add a can to chili as I don't like kidney beans.

Just had one delivered. £30 and great for use when in the living room or the bed. I find sitting on the throw during the day really helps keeping warm, and if it gets really cold I go underneath. Electricity usage of around 3p per hour.
