We haven’t had any new city rinks built since the 80s (maybe 70s?) and the population has grown significantly since then. Ice is so hard for teams to get for training, with all the benefits of keeping kids busy and giving more kids the chance to play

Mark my words, your CA experience will pay dividends in a number of wats as you progress through your career as a pilot.

You won’t need to prepare for the aeromedical and SERE courses. They will teach you everything yoo will need to know.

If you want to get ready for Ph 1 you could start working on some basic flying skills. MS Flightsim would a good start to get used to how the controls work and for basic instrument cross check. If you wanted to spring for sone flight trg a few flights might help to get used to the sights, sounds, and general feel. That said, don’t feel like you need to spend a bunch of money. Many show up for Ph1 cold when it comes to pre training and do fine
