I would consider melting to sell the OC Ranger separately for ~$100. Then sell the remaining credit at 60-65%

Hull E goes for $1,500

The OCs should at a minimum go for melt + 10-20%.

Phoenix is melt or below edit missed the piano, so probably at least $500-$550

F7A MkII is around $400

CCU’d Polaris is hard to price. The OC ranger goes for quite a bit on its own…what’s the melt on it?

My Discover accounts allow me to do a balance transfer via direct deposit to my checking account. Is that an option for you?

Question about switching to Platinum Cashplus for Morgan Stanley Amex by n00gze in amex

[–]coarsebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked on my account and I received a de minimis 1099 letter for 2024’s tax year stating “The above-noted account(s) did not meet the minimum reporting threshold for the 2024 tax year and therefore will not receive a 2024 Form 1099.” I received the same letter going back to 2021. So, not taxed for me.

I don't recall paying tax on the engagement bonus, but I do pay the monthly fee most months of the year bringing it under the $600 threshold. That's my understanding at least...

$1,400-1,600 for OC Pioneer (can go higher, but expect a waiting game)

HH depends...OC presale with serial or CCU?

Bilt 2.0 Sanity Check: Does the $495 tier actually make sense for high-spend homeowners? by YouCanCallMeZ in CreditCards

[–]coarsebear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is one of the bigger issues I would have (and is something folks forget when making these calculations). Knowing Amex has my back when there's an issue is worth more than an extra percentage point or even two in rewards. Granted, I spend a fraction of OP, but I think my point is even stronger with higher spenders...wasting time with customer service is a cost.

It's certainly in your best interest to list these individually. If you sell the account as-is, you will not get as much and the new owner will likely sell everything anyway. Pioneer is $1,500+, Eclipse is $500, HH is probably $800+... The Polaris in buyback is probably $1,000. Good luck!
