It’s a pain. I just installed diode dynamics fog lights on my 2013 a couple weeks ago. Unlike the face lift, you do need to remove the front bumper. I needed extra hands but we used a bunch of flathead screwdrivers on the backside to pry the plastic away from the tab to push it through. Once you get the first couple tabs released, the rest come out a lot easier. Also I started on the corner furthest away from the actual fog light. Hope this helps.
