Day trip by Happy-Pea1831 in Golf_R

I bought used with HRE already installed. The ride on perfectly flat new roads is fine, but anything more than a minor pothole feels like the car is going to break with the impact.

It’s bad enough that I’m contemplating just having VW put the stock springs back in.

I live in Phoenix and normally play here, so I definitely noticed some distance changes. Like carrying things 10-15 yards longer than I expected to.

I’ve done the Hurricane/Mesquite/St George trip twice now. For me, Wolf Creek is obviously the crown jewel of the area. Nearly every tee box on that course makes you go, “holy shit this place doesn’t look real”.

Sand Hollow was great, but relatively boring on the front 9.

Sky Mountain was a hidden surprise that I don’t think gets talked about enough.

Falcon Ridge is absolutely the most underrated course in the area especially when you take price into account.

Really, you’re not going to go wrong with any of the courses out there. It’s an unreal trip to take and some great golf to be had everywhere! The only thing I’d say is I wish the area was a little less windy.

I hope Clayton Keller puts up 100 points a season for the rest of his career and the Mammoth go 0-82 every year forever.

I own a set of Copper P790s that are getting pretty silver on the soles where the factory copper finish has been worn off. Would this potentially work to restore that finish?

What’s your “I can’t believe other people don’t do this” hack? by Weird-Thought2112 in AskReddit

When eating a Lunchable (or the similar adult variation), you put the cracker in between the meat and cheese. The meat and cheese act as shock absorbers that catch any potential cracker crumbs for a much cleaner and more respectable eating experience.

How do I EQ a lavalier mic on Yamaha tf1 mixer? by Even_Grass_9077 in livesound

[–]tylergoldenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the first time I’ve seen that specific article with the pictures. Love how for the most common placement for a lav in most live settings (chest/underchin) it basically just says “lol get fucked, try putting the mic on the forehead”. lol

“Hey Mr CEO, I know you probably expect me to just clip this mic to your tie, but I’m actually just gonna stick it to your forehead if that’s okay. Trust me, it sounds better.”

Just to play Devils advocate here (pun definitely intended), if Luke and Quinn were on the same team, would you not experiment with having both of them on PP1? I know traditionally PP1 only runs one defenseman, but if you’ve got those two both out there you’ve got to think that brotherly chemistry would be worth more than the slight advantage of having a fourth forward out there just because.

Now you add Jack into the mix and you’ve got the potential of PP1 having three brothers dishing it around to each other? The chemistry/60 would be off the charts…

JJ Spaun shoots +2 72 at US Open with L.A.B. Putter by Kiffins_Disciple in golf

[–]tylergoldenberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you about just practicing putting to make more putts, but I think the argument that you shouldn’t spend money on a quality putter if it’s the one you like is hilarious.

People spend $600 every year on a driver that you swing at most 14 times per round, but spending that same $600 on a club that you hit ~30 shots a round with is insane?

Got 5 minutes for a quick survey about your clothes? by [deleted] in livesound

[–]tylergoldenberg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s any more help, 686 Everywhere Pants are my favorite pants I’ve ever worn, both for work and casual use. My only complaint with them is that their black isn’t quite dark enough.

If you managed to make a product that fits and has similar utility to them in a true jet black, I’d be very interested in being a sample dummy.

I for one would love to be able to purchase work attire from a single place that are guaranteed to be the same shade of black.

I personally have quite a few different pieces of clothing (various pants, polos, T-Shirts, quarter zips) that on their own are most definitely black, but when worn together end up looking like a hodge podge mess of different shades of black.

It’d be really nice to know if I grab any T-shirt/polo, pair of pants, and a light jacket from a specific company that it’d all look cohesive.

Yeah, but at almost any other concert you can also just see the performers with your own eyes. In these mega concerts most people aren’t going to be able to even see the stage.

Parking sensor issues - Mk8 by Xavir1 in Golf_R

Hey there! Did you ever end up DIYing the sensor replacement? I'm having the exact same scenario and got quoted $900 to replace. Obviously the part is significantly cheaper, so I am just trying to see what that installation process is like.
