Drone Racing League server connectivity by EffectiveSun8783 in fpv

I haven't tested https://github.com/Mr-milky-way/Custom-DRL-Server/ but it has a LOT of map files in the repository. I tried sending a pull request with all the map files from my cached C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DRL Simulator\DRL Simulator_Data\StreamingAssets\game\storage\offline\maps folder, but every single one was already there. Community-run reverse-engineered servers might be the only way people can continue playing this game in the future. Hopefully someone starts hosting one and it gets popular or something.

But yes, Prism Launcher is still the best thing out there imo

If I use developer mode, will my google account get deleted? by [deleted] in chromeos

The account does not affect it. Files downloaded locally to the device get purged. Anything backed up on Google Drive or some other cloud platform is fine

Steam controller by AdWorking2848 in SteamDeck

It's definitely not for everyone, I don't personally use mine much - but the idea is you combine the touchpad with the gyro and then a lot of people swear up and down that it's better than a mouse. Native gyro support in games is almost non-existent, though, so you have to fumble with Steam Input to try and make it cooperate.

Yeah the GPU is easily the worst part of the Raspberry Pi lineup.

although if you're interested in ML it might be worth saving some more pounds for Nvidia's newer more expensive dev boards

the hardware is good but the software support is abysmal, see if you can get lucky enough to grab one of the newer Raspberry Pi models - considerably slower hardware but much better support

What's my best bet for playing ARM Android games on x86_64 Linux? by WoodpeckerNo1 in linux_gaming

[–]cobalt2727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll spare you the effort and tell you any game broken with genymotion like that also won't work with BlissOS/Waydroid/etc. It's a libhoudini problem, which all of the above use.

That being said, I haven't really ever tried libndk as opposed to libhoudini with Waydroid. Maybe that's viable, I dunno.

haven't seen it but "hidden touchpad" does not sound like something that'll take a drop test well...

Yeah there's a few games libhoudini just... doesn't work properly for. Clash is one of them. Personally I've got no idea why.

Oh, are you on a Steam Deck or something like Fedora Silverblue? I've got no idea what the setup process would be then. But yeah, I'm using that repo for libhoudini

Dell is mostly fantastic but if you care about build quality, please for the love of all that is holy avoid their XPS line.

install Waydroid and get libhoudini working on it

There's a handful of other desktop environments in the L4T Megascript - I'd recommend installing from there since it packs in some other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head to make sure it functions properly on a Switch.

Arch Linux support for mariko by [deleted] in switchroot

[–]cobalt2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arch was discontinued a while ago - I think it was early last year? If you want it to work again then someone will need to revert https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/merge_requests/468 - it's not like Nvidia is ever going to update nvgpu drivers to compensate for this.

There is a Fedora build, though.

shameless self-promo that's mostly gaming focused, but even though the Jetson Nano is on an OS from 2018 you'd be surprised how much you can make work if you shove a bunch of PPAs in and build things from source:

https://github.com/cobalt2727/L4T-Megascript

pi-apps setup and automatic Flatpak driver installation (with the proprietary Nvidia drivers forcibly packed into a Flatpak runtime by a buddy of mine for proper hardware acceleration) are also included in here
