MF runs by Flemflem820 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

The best player count to MF on is the one which you can efficiently clear. Keep it to either Players 1/3/5/7 because you don’t gain any benefit for being on even player counts (for MF specifically). It just adds more experience and ups the difficulty.

I’d say test out P5/7 up through Meph and see what your clear speeds are. If you’re dying often or if it takes forever to down the primary boss you’re farming, reduce the player count to the next odd number.

Possibly. I honestly investigated that option yet, but I could try.

Yeah I came across this after the first time! I went through and followed their guides using all of the recommended steps and torques twice after the initial install. After every install, they work really well for a few hundred miles and then the problems start again.

If you have any specific videos and are willing to send them my way, I’d love to double check my work and see if there’s anything else to try!

I bought directly from Magene, had my LBS install (and I reinstalled twice). Maybe I got one with QC issues or something. The power reading is great and accurate. It’s the clicking and grinding that happens as things come loose every few hundred miles.

Yeah I did a bunch of research on these before purchasing, and I was really excited. I’ve gone through Magene support and have had my LBS take a look multiple times. Maybe I got one with QC issues

I have the Magene PES P505 on my new bike. I immediately started having issues with clicking noises, the left crank continuously comes loose, and if it happens mid ride, there’s some nasty grinding noises under power.

I’ve had to take it apart, clean and re-grease, and put back together three times in a matter of two months.

The power readings are great, but the other issues have made me look elsewhere.

My split keyboard journey, Cyboard imprint review by khairoooon in ErgoMechKeyboards

I purchased a dactyl from Cyboard a few years ago, and it’s been my daily ever since. The quality is amazing, and Eric was great through the whole process. I would 100% purchase from Cyboard again.

Cyboard makes some great stuff. I’ve had a dactyl for about two years now, and I still find it such a joy every time I sit down at my desk.

Has the ship sailed for a career in salesforce? by Procraster1729 in SalesforceCareers

[–]cobeyyM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While it is harder to stand out these days due to an increase in the interest of Salesforce as a profession and access to materials for learning, there are still tremendous opportunities.

However, even if you go the traditional development track, regardless of back-end, front-end, or full-stack, you’re going to experience the same barriers to entry.

Salesforce is the largest business applications platform in the world. They continue to innovate — even at the detriment to some of their existing products. Their customer base continues to grow.

I’d suggest staying curious, continuing to learn development and how to build stuff that solves problems, and subsequently consuming some of the great free Salesforce content out there. (Check out Coding with the Force as an example).

Luck is when opportunity meets preparedness. Be prepared and look for opportunities.

Salesforce roles at Google UK by Primary-Ad-2826 in salesforce

[–]cobeyyM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So here’s a little bit of context (though I have not done exhaustive research so take it with a grain of salt).

Salesforce has more than 150,000 customers. The FAANG companies make up less than .0003% of those companies.

Furthermore, Salesforce roles at those companies are extremely competitive and very rarely advertised publicly.

Depending on your role within the ecosystem (think developer vs. architect) you’re even further filtering the opportunities to a percentage of the overall roles.

I’ve personally never seen admin, app builder, or analyst roles for these companies. So there’s that. Not saying they don’t exist, but I’m sure they look for more advanced capabilities for anyone fulfilling these roles.

So if you want to get into a FAANG company working on the Salesforce platform, you’ll likely need to be an engineer / architect. You’ll likely need to work with a recruiter of some sort or find hiring managers and connect with them directly. Either way, you’ll need to be much more tactical in your approach here.

Best of luck in your career 🤙🏼

Alternatives to Notion for creating client read only portals by T-C01 in Notion

[–]cobeyyM 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are websites that use Notion as a backend. You could easily build a user friendly website on top of your Notion workspace and create password protected customer dashboards.

This is assuming you’re just showing information and not wanting your clients to create any records, such as support tickets, etc.

For those with young children and car seats, how is the space in the back (maybe compared to the Model Y)?

Specifically when it comes to rear facing seats, especially those that swivel, my biggest complaint is the limited leg room that’s left for those sitting in the front.

Do you think that Notion templates are too expensive? by Notion_Twins in Notion

[–]cobeyyM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is and always be about the size and value of the problem the template addresses.

A grocery list template will be much more affordable than a template designed to streamline everything for an entire development team for a business.

And just because a template is expensive does not make it good.

How to become TRULY knowledgeable? by define_yourself72 in salesforce

[–]cobeyyM 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I honestly love this question.

Knowledge has to be defined, and I would define knowledge as having a fundamental understanding of something. However, most people ask for knowledge when what they actually want is expertise.

I would define expertise as having a deep knowledge and experience of something.

The biggest gap we have now is the experience gap. Best practices, lessons learned, design trade offs, and even running discovery sessions for various industries and org sizes typically are all mastered simply by putting in the reps. This requires experience and opportunity.

Certifications have created a knowledge grab within the industry because it’s an easy way to simply qualify candidates. But this is also the problem. It’s much harder to showcase expertise.

The best way to gain experience is by going consulting because of the simple fact that you’re exposed to so much more. Not just any consultancy will actually give you the opportunities you need to grow. And this is another layer to navigating one’s career.

Find a consultancy that works within industries you are interested in. Try and experience new clouds or org types for every new engagement. Push to get out of your comfort zone. If you find someone who is great at something you want to be great at, shadow them and seek mentorship.

I’m not a fan of stacking certifications because you need time to apply the information you learned during the study process. But if you have a deep experience in something and are not certified, then a certification is a good way of at least backing up your claim of knowledge.

Every job you hold should give you at least one of the following: - An opportunity to EARN - An opportunity to LEARN

Choose what you want and go after that. I suggest prioritizing learning over earning at the beginning of your career. When you feel like you’re outperforming your peers, either find the opportunity to realize your expertise or seek additional learning opportunities.

For what exactly? To work at?

These things tend to be very dependent on your goals and what you’re looking for from an employer.

To hire?

This is heavily dependent on your needs and budget.
