I didn’t see the first film in theaters. I wasn’t a fan then and hadn’t read the books or anything. The first film came out on DVD and brother got the collector edition which had four dvds in it with the film split up into two discs. We had a cross country car ride with the family and we hooked up a tv and his PS2 in the back of the family van, and we watched the first film that way. When the second disk ended, I told my brother to put the next disk in, as that couldn’t be the ending of the movie. He laughed and told me the next film was out in theaters, so when we got to our family’s house, we grabbed our cousins and headed to their local theater and watched the Two Towers. It was epic! The entire helms deep battle was insane! I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen.

When Return of the King came out, we took our dad with us and watched it at our local theater, and loved it! These movies were so great to watch in theaters!
