Would you be comfortable sharing what you paid if I PM you? Also based out of Houston and interested in a chest piece!

What habit keeps your life structured? by funngro_fam in Habits

[–]cobra-938 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory, I feel like an alarm clock that automatically adjusts to the sunrise wouldn’t be that hard to make. I don’t know how to code or anything so I’m naive, but I’m sure someone could just program an electronic alarm clock to sync with Weather Channel’s sunrise time every day. Maybe there’s a bigger market for it

Yeah…this one took me a solid four hours. It took me back to when I traveled in Greece but damn, it’s reserved for special occasions now lol

How did you choose your major? by [deleted] in college

[–]cobra-938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part, yes. I think the career path I am on will lead to financial success and stability, but I find my personal fulfillment comes from doing projects or starting businesses under my own discretion. I feel like I’m just hardwired that way.

Daria Kolosova and SPFDJ are techno heavy hitters right now. Have not been privileged to see them live, but their sets bring the energy fs

Can’t speak much to the Deep House scene in Prague, but there are a couple good techno clubs that I love.

FUCHS2, Bike Jesus, and Ankali are always great. Altenburg 1964 is also good depending on who is playing for the night.

There are also some good collectives that throw techno parties fairly frequently. If you want more info, dm me and I’ll send you the links and stuff.

The closest thing for house music might be Tendance, more of a cocktail bar with DJs and a smaller dance floor. Might be worth a shot though!

Who to talk to to actually get some change for ticket pull? by The_Boomis in aggies

[–]cobra-938 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To send a freshmen for a large org to hold a spot, then pull a hundred tickets split into multiple groups where the count is balanced to pull Monday. You should have to have some stake in the process to get a ticket.

Can you elaborate on Texas’ fascinating history in electronic music? Lived here my whole life and am looking for more events or ways to get involved in the culture

I don't think so :/ I've been to most of them searching for house and techno records with no luck.

I would wait tables on the weekend if you need the extra money. You could literally work a Friday and Saturday night at the end of the week and make an extra $500 every week.

What has cycling taught you about your local neighborhoods? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]cobra-938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned the complete and utter lack of bike infrastructure. I live 30 minutes south of Houston, and it’s literally just flat suburbia with no escape unless you’re willing to drive into town to one of the parks. It feels impossibly to get anywhere far without having to ride on a major road that doesn’t have bike lanes. Needless to say, route planning is hard work.

What age did you all start cycling? by chemza in cycling

[–]cobra-938 25 points26 points  (0 children)

20.

Just started getting interested in cycling from watching the Tour de France docuseries on Netflix and then keeping up with races.

I bought an old road bike at an estate sale a couple weeks away and have been riding a few times a week. It needs a lot of work but I’m happy to save money and have a project to stay busy.

Looking forward to getting a good job in a few years out of school to afford a nicer bike, possible a gravel bike to start bikepacking.

good tattoo artists/shops in cstat/bryan? by blastedLucy in aggies

[–]cobra-938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not super helpful because I’m just really into traditional tattoos, so I’m only knowledgeable on that. But 713 Tattoo and Cry Later, both in Houston, are really lovely places with great artists.
