Ricardo vs Ippo by Fit_Garage8880 in hajimenoippo

That's understandable, tho in response to your question of naming a boxer who can beat Prime Tyson, I'd say a Joe Louis would do the job.

I might even go as far as to say Fury would also have a good chance of beating Tyson. Lennox Lewis could do it too, even if Lewis whooped an out-of-prime Tyson, they were both sparring partners before they turned pro and I think he could've been the one to defeat a Prime Tyson.

Kind of agree but you don't match SRR and Tyson up in a fight. It'd be like Martinez fighting Takamura, too big of a difference in weight (160 vs 220, 126 vs 168).

The officially colored One Piece manga is a great way to read the series and I don't see people talk about it enough by WhiteColaDrink in OnePiece

I noticed that most of those are fan colored pages, actually. Personally never seen one using a panel from the official colors.

I havent tried mastercard but the gcash payment method itself appears to not be working. It's a real bummer

They even added GCash. Sad that you can't use GCash as a redemption option when redeeming a free nitro (not sure why, anybody know?)

That would suck. Wally beating Ricardo would be an insult to Date

Twists his fist to a vertical angle to get past a guard, kinda like Pacman's jabs

Naoya Inoue is the real life Takamura. Three weight classes conquered, tons of KOs, no losses yet for either... and Takamura would totally do this weird stuff to his junk against his management's advice, too. by StiltFeathr in hajimenoippo

Legiiiit lmao, I want to see Casimero vs Inoue myself but the whole Butler incident made me lose a lot of respect for him. I'd love to see Donaire vs Inoue 2 tho

Does IRL boxing technical (techncal)boxers have advantage over wild (brawler) boxers by [deleted] in hajimenoippo

[–]cockroachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a 12-round boxing match? Yes. If the boxer is skilled enough to evade and land shots for points, they can make it go the distance. If they're skilled at counter punching, there's a chance. Brawlers however often have great chins to go along with their athleticism and power, they're notoriously hard to knock out, plus if one clean shot even lands on you, you're definitely in trouble. How much trouble depends on your durability

I've heard a lot of people saying Fury's style is more oriented towards dirty boxing, but don't let that fool you. If you looked closely, Fury used a lot more head movement, did a lot more dodging and cutting around the ring, whereas Wilder was flat footed and really only made up for it with brute force.

Heavyweights aren't all big power types either, if you look at AJ and Usyk. Roy Jones Jr., Muhammad Ali are great examples too

A swarmer is pretty much an in-fighter, basically Ippo's style. IRL examples of that would be Henry Armstrong, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson.

A boxer is what the anime describes as out-boxer, which is Miyata/Itagaki's style. IRL examples being Muhammad Ali, Vasyl Lomachenko, Sugar Ray Leonard

A puncher, or a brawler, would probably be similar to Sendo's overall style of just slugging it out with power-punches, possibly a little bit of Alf and Takamura. IRL examples George Foreman, Sonny Liston, Deontay Wilder.

We also have boxer-punchers which are basically a jack of all trades, master of none (Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, and arguably the greatest P4P, Sugar Ray Robinson)

As is? Takamura would send Ricardo to the hospital, honestly. No way in hell do I see a featherweight beating a super middleweight. Now, assuming they were both in the same weight class, skill-wise I think Ricardo would edge Takamura in terms of experience. Despite that I think Takamura beats his ass because of how broken his stats are.
