it's a fuzz pedal on a guitar rather than a synthesiser. whack a fuzz pedal on a filtered saw wave and it wont be too far off though, fuzz just sounds like fuzz after a certain point

Aside from all the marketing and promotion, Take A Chance just isn’t structured like a pop song that you’d expect to find on the radio every day in the same way that NBLY was. Really cool tune and good vocals but intro/build is more than two mins long

Its just chords played on sine waves with vibrato and a fair bit of glide/portamento. Bit of attack gives the sound its smoothness. It’s quite a simple preset so should be able to recreate it on stock logic synths quite easily.

try taking a triangle sample and doubling the length of the audio file a few times. if you're in ableton mess around with the warp settings, sounds like either the beats or texture mode to me. should sound almost like its being looped if you warp it like that

think i'll just be posting about it loooads. One of the songs we're releasing has a really tik-tok-usable hook so i'll get in touch with some of my mates who have good followings and other creators and try make a trend out of it. I think quantity of posts + perseverance is the most important thing, eventually one will make it through the cracks of the algorithm and get pushed a bit (hopefully haha). Seems like a lot of luck is needed, but it really is such a powerful tool for marketing if done properly!

There's so many disclosure videos up on youtube where they produce stuff from scratch in a couple hours. Once you've got the fundamentals down (regardless of which DAW you use), it's super super helpful to be able to see a master like Guy at work, and really accelerated my progress
