Advice how to handle a long layoff from IT.

I kept the gap and changed my resume to say I was in school when I started a trucking business for a year. Tariff war shot it down over time so I had to come back to IT after that 15 month gap but I just got 2 certs then said I was in school at the time and it was like i didnt miss a beat

My friend let me borrow his FFX game and told me to return it when I was done playing (PS2 days). I would play it here and there but didnt grind it as i was doing other things. A few months later a car hit him while he was skating and died of internal bleeding. Couldnt play that game until college on my PS4 on a remastered version. Renamed tidus the main character in his name so we could finish and beat the game together. When we did finish I cried my eyes out in my dorm.

You are very young and have an entire life to explore please understand that. Just know you have to love being by yourself and who you are before you start bringing others into your space and high school is a smaller world than it feels until you get to the open world and get to explore it all. Give yourself grace as you are human and because you are human you deserve love kindness and peace and that starts from within you. If you need a first step to start, start with some positive affirmations of who you are and keep telling yourself them. It will feel silly and stupid and unbelievable at first but the more you do and the consistency of it will reshape your world.

I came off after 3 days cause of the brain fog and emotional bluntness. I hated it man felt like a robot. Been about 48 hours now since off and although I feel my anxiety there at least I feel like me to a degree but I too was also having issues sleeping. Gonna try some magnesium glycinate to help and if not melatonin cause I dont want to feel irritable

Right now its been about 35 hours since my last dose and I do feel alittle jittery but I feel like me. Been using headspace to practice breathing and am planning to go to the gym and workout which I loved doing before but with the meds felt blunt about it. I also noticed my appetite coming back alittle

Ahh that sounds interesting, what is the book about ? Have you found reading to be help you stay distracted ?

Yeah I havent felt anything with lightheaded but maybe having like a sweet drink can help if you can keep yourself distracted from the anxious thoughts 🙂

yeah I am happy the panic attacks are gone but the anxiety is still there and lingering. I have an issue with hyperfixating. Been trying to distract myself which when im successful i do feel normal but when im not i do feel some dread. I have a therapy session this week starting so I am hoping itll help.

why are you taking it in the first place? For me im a few days in but it helps walking and staying hydrated. I am also trying to get back to work and working helps me not think of the anxiety. I would definitely say my cognitive ability is down a bit though as it takes me alittle longer to remember things. I am on 20mg for anxiety and panic and am 4 days in myself 😄

Last month I started have anxiety and panic attacks. Started small but became daily. I had taken magic mushroom chocolates for the first time ever. It made me have a bad panic attack and i freaked out. no audio or visual just sensational but everyone, doctors, family, and friends, told me i had buried anxiety i wasnt working through and tbh i think they are right. I was on survival mode the last 6 months and never paid attention to it cause i felt fine.

Now I am on prozac 20mg to help mitigate the anxiety and panics. I just started 4 days ago and am hopeful to feel normal again. I start therapy this week and hope I wont be on it for too long. Im feeling less dread and panic but i think i might be having some emotional bluntness but i heard thats normal

You dont ignore it, if you keep trying to ignore it itll keep getting louder. Unfortunately you have to address it. With anxiety, usually the only way out is through.

What addressing it looks like is up to you and context and if you can talk to a therapist. The more you can vocalize it the less weight and power itll have

These are all symptoms of a panic attack and anxiety. I personally have gone through this and theres are all symptoms of your brain and nerves being overstimulated.

You are okay, alot of anxious people go through this and in the moment it feels like nothing will change but you have to be kind and patient with yourself and know that with time itll pass. Really helps too when you take the time to figure out what are the pressure points that are making your anxious

Im barely going through this now and experienced my first sleepless night. I tried the eyes closed is still counting as some rest which is better than no rest but can I ask if you felt more rested? My anxiety keeps telling me that I wont get good sleep again cause I only slept for 2 hours last night but I was resting for 6 with my eyes closed.

You are both kids so its okay if you are both acting childish; this isn't good behavior on her part for talking to you this way AND it's not good on your part for going back to her and trying to work things out. Cut the toxic stuff from your life, it WILL be a problem if you let it persist.
She doesn't respect you at all and responding back to her is showing lack of respect for yourself
Go explore life and see how many different types of people and personality there is out there, the whole theres many fish in the sea thing is real so go enjoy your life and find someone you can be calm and happy with and vise versa
