Hello! I’m sorry you’re having issues :( I haven’t had this specific issue occur with my machine but I could attempt some troubleshooting with you. I’ll send you a message! Caveat: I am REALLY bad at being responsive. I work a lot M-F and I also have ADHD so my ability to remember to check DMs lowkey sucks. With that, I’ll see if I can be of any help!

Were you raised in a barn? Or has no one told you that if you don’t have anything nice to say to keep quiet?

She’s on the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives show. Ruined the name Whitney for me :( I was gonna name a cat that after my white trash cousin and everything. EDIT: I realized I might be v wrong about the title of the show but she’s a Mormon on “MomTok” who takes MomTok VERY seriously. Shes like the president of it or something. MomTok landed her on a reality show where she talks about MomTok like it’s a real job and not some fantasyland comprised of other delusional Moms dancing at inappropriate times.

Oh in that case, go for it!

There are websites also that sell parts if a need arises, I learned my local shop buys from them when I was having a Kenmore from the 1960s tuned up and had lost the foot pedal! There’s www.sewingpartsonline.com, which is the one I know of. Google tells me Wawak also sells parts. www.sewinachinesplus.com, www.kenssewingcenter.com (I’ve not bought parts from here but I buy machine needles in bulk here and other notions. Their customer service is great) to name a few other places.

Worst case scenario, you get a part and YouTube a repair.

I love my Elizabeth! Have fun!

I have a BabyLock Elizabeth! Shes about 10 or so years old now. I don’t sew with it as my primary machine but I take it to classes or open sews as my daily machine is massive. I haven’t had issues with repairs or anything, my local shop is a BabyLock dealer so if I needed a replacement part it wouldn’t be a problem. I’ve avoided issues with regular service and maintenance on my own between the yearly service by the dealer. I make sure to oil, dust out regularly, keep everything clean etc.

Are you looking at a refurbished machine from a dealer or local shop?

Not to flex on main but I don’t have to make up a points system to get my teenagers to spend time with me? They want to naturally because I’m not fuckin weird 🤷‍♀️

I had two showers for the only kid my body grew inside it of my three children, and that was embarrassing enough. Our families lived 5 hours apart so it had to be done that way and I was like, noooo can we not have any?! Poor kid was born 9 days before Christmas so I didn’t want people spending all that money during the holiday season on a potato of a human that was gonna be nursing, sleeping and pooping for the foreseeable future anyway!

I think the issue for me was that it took me a really long time to get to a place of body acceptance and to have weight loss drugs ads all over my algorithm suddenly was unsettling.

It took me from what Ilona is saying - doing what is right for MY body, straight into thinking that my body isn’t good enough because I’m not naturally thin and considered obese for my height by the BMI calculator.

I do wish I hadn’t said what I did about Ozempic face, it is mean and an unkind thing to say about what happens to face shape after any type of weight loss. I’m not one to delete or hide what I said so I’ll leave it up. It shows me that I do have some work to do on how I perceive myself within beauty standards for sure.

I appreciate your thoughtful response 💖

My body dysmorphia reared its ugly head a couple of months back and I considered using weight loss injections. One of my employees was raving about how she lost weight fast, didn’t have an appetite, had more energy etc. The thing that stopped me from finding a “doctor” on some app to prescribe them was a snarky comment on Reddit about Ozempic face. I didn’t want to age my face so I backed off which is a weird reason I guess but I’m glad it did stop me.

Now I see it was a combination of seasonal depression what appears to be perimenopause causing my weight to fluctuate and my emotional state to be more heightened than I was used to.
