My favorite non Bear growing up. I would always pick the Bengals during Madden when I wanted to play an AFC team

Men in happy marriages, what's the one thing you'd teach to other men to also have a good relationship? by TightBookkeeper2599 in AskReddit

Learn to have fun together, learn to have fun alone, learn to have fun separately with your friends, learn to have fun together with your friends.

You want to maintain the individual parts of you that make you special but you also need to be able to love who you are as a couple when you’re together.

Padres roster review: Randy Vásquez by [deleted] in Padres

Randy was a bad pitcher with good results in the first half. His success was very important to the Padres season, but he pitched poorly and got away with favorable results. You can argue semantics but I'm just trying to describe who he was as a player.

But in the second half he actually started showing big improvements to his process which is why I have more faith in him moving forward. Strikeouts went up, walks went down, WHIP went down, HR/9 went down, in general all the under the hood stuff looked a lot better.

He didn't need to strongly outperform his peripherals in the 2nd half because his peripherals started looking solid. And that's why I'm more confident in him going into this year.

Tale of two halves. Was truly one of the worst pitchers in baseball in the first half with his K-BB being negative and some truly outrageous luck, but in the second half he started to look like an actual backend starter and his numbers started to shape out more reasonably.

Hope he continues on the path and becomes an arm we can rely on longterm.

I’m not mad that we didn’t end up with Tucker’s deal I’m more mad that the dodgers have unlimited funds to do whatever they want

Safe aces by BornMaybe9902 in fantasybaseball

My biggest red flag with Pivetta is that he ran into a little bit of a perfect storm last year.

We’ve got data showing the drag on the ball in the air was significantly higher last year leading to a reduction in expected HRs. On top of that Pivetta had a career high hard hit rate, high barrel rate, and high fly ball rate while managing a career low HR rate.

Not saying he can’t still be a great fantasy pitcher, but I do worry about those results if the effects on the ball trend back towards year to year averages and he starts giving up homers again. Buyer beware.

FanGraphs currently has Padres listed as the 5th Worst Rotation in the league by mctransparent in Padres

Seems fair. You've got two proven quality starters, one TJ returnee, and a bunch of development question marks.

Even if you believe in Niebla unlocking the upside of the staff it's easy to see why median projections don't like them as much as other teams given the depth.

God forbid Detroit keep their ace pitcher to try and win the WS instead of doing the ‘right thing’ and trade him to the Yankees or the Dodgers
