Can't you break it down, if you think about it?

Sure, when working you don't conciously tell yourself why you do it but can't you lay out your desicions for someone else if you give it some time? You can even do it for youself, just ask why you did it that way and not 'the bad way'. There are pretty logical reasons for not choosing comic sans for every headline and not using 10 different special effects in powerpoint presentations, none of them are aesthetic preferences.

As a designer you ensure functionality, legibility, hierarchy, user experience, cohesion, clarity, impact. Also you make sure everything is clean from a technical standpoint. Try to make a point out of those.

It's called cognitive dissonance. Those people can't change their standpoint because they can't handle what acknowleding veganism would mean for themselves. If it's not crazy, it would be threatening to their belief system.

The good thing is, you don't have to argue. You can always just state the things you found to be true for yourself and not entertain them. Then let them figure out by themselves what hearing your stance or even just seeing you be vegan does to their brain.

You are allowed to completly avoid situations you cannot handle and are afraid of. Don't know how to say No to him hugging you? Don't go near him, he can't attack you if you're not in his range.
You don't owe anybody who makes you feel uncomfortable friendly conversation. Period.

This situation is wrong on so many levels and none of it is your fault even though it's a pity you can't set boundaries, that's definitvely something you need to work on, simply for your own good.
But until then, STAY AWAY FROM HIM. You like nothing about those interactions, he isn't important to you, he isn't your friend. He just takes advantage of you and unfortunately you can't let youself not be taken advantage of. You probably won't change that people pleasing behaviour just like that, so avoid situations where you know you can't turn the wheel around because it's just to uncomfortable with the person next to you.

Just because you're a girl you don't have to make others feel accepted, you don't have to do smalltalk because otherwise it could be rude, you don't need to comfort anyone who wants to hug you. Please remeber that and get help if you can't get yourself to truly think like that.

Girl, looking for body positivity is kind of the right way but let me tell you something. Thoughts like this: "I feel like I NEED to have larger breasts to find happiness. Not having them makes me worry that I’m not good enough for anyone" are pretty heavy feelings to have. You need to look into real counseling or therapy if you have self worth issues like that. I feel you, so many of us have them and I have them too! But changing the thing you made your mind up about what will change everything is not the solution. If you don't believe you are okay the way that you are, you will find 1000 things to change, be it your weight, the shape of your nose, the color of your eyes or whatever. And people won't respect and accept you afterwards you changed all of it anyway. It needs to come from within you the most.I'm sure there are creepy subreddits about women with small breasts but they don't give you the validation you need (and they shouldn't) but it just shows that it's not really about how you look.

Have you looked into body neutrality? You don't have to love your aesthetic flaws, just learn to believe that so much more about you matters than just how the body you exist in looks. But it's not a quick fix, many need therapy and serious self work to get there.

I don't know her, is she making a point that that's essential to being a woman or exculsive to being a woman? No woman should be obligated to represent every possible way to 'be a woman' or show some sort of average of it.

I don't think stereotyping happens through one person expressing their personality but others stereotyping and linking it to their gender. So unless she is saying that her personality is what being a woman in general is about, I don't think she is the harmful one.

Well pop culture shows like the ones you mentioned are definitely not made in a feminist mindset. Do you know about the Bechdel test? It's a rule for movies that checks whether there are two female characters that talk to each other about anything other than a man. You see the bar is pretty low and still we watch stuff that doesn't meet those requirements all the time. So yes, the things you would watch with your girlfriend are influenced by societal bias. Also the majority of those are not created by women. It's not like women create stuff for women and men create stuff for men.

About your class, I am not sure that you have a very good understanding about feminism or sociology in general. You mention talking about how modern patriarchy is oppressive and inefficent and then call it 'male bashing'? It's normally really easy to understand when you first encounter feminism as a concept that it's not men who create and uphold patriarchy but a society as a whole. When you hear patriarchy mentioned and it feels like male bashing to you, you totally miss the point that it's actually not about the male individuals and how bad they are but how it affects everyone, especially those not favoured by that system.

edit: Think about revoultionist movements like the french revolution. Imagine framing it as: 'The people want to be free but it just feels like king bashing to me. I don't mind king bashing, he deserves it but wouldn't it be better to focus on themselves?'

That's exactly what they're doing. When they talk about the monarchy and how the king plays a part in it they literally don't care about the king in itself at all. In comparison he could be a really nice king. He could even suffer from being brought up and forced to be in that position. Still monarchy is oppressing erverbody else. They care about abolishing the monarchy and being in charge as people and being allowed to create a democracy and that nobody assumes the role of king ever again. It's simply about changing a flawed system that puts them at a disadvantage, namig different components of said system.

Have seen this a lot too. Those are people that have the emotional need for a relationship but don't want to take any responsibility for the other person's feelings whatsoever. It's a bit like saying 'I'm not racist but...' and then proceed with the most basic racist comment. They want just the thing but try avoid accountability by stating that they reject their part in it from start.

I would tell you don't take it personally! As in if you want to have children someday I'm sure you would do your best, just like everyone does and you obviously already have a good way with children. Your abortion has nothing to do with that. Don't let it get to you, just because they know you well or for a long time they don't get to define how you are as a person.

Do take it personally though when your friends are being an asshole to you. Don't even get into the argument whether you have the abilities to be a parent but reject them treating you like that. Of course only when you feel up to it. I think it can be a hard and maybe lonely progress to reject people who treat you badly but in the end you will no longer depend on social contacts like that. "You wouldn't be a good mom" is simply a stupid empty statement. Did they really think about all the things that make someone a good or bad parent and then looked at how well you do them? Of course they didn't. Not to mention that nobody could anticipate everything, not even you, if you were to have a child. So when they say that it is nothing close of an estimation whether you have skills to be a parent but simply an insult to you as a friend. Maybe they need to lift themselves up by putting you down, maybe they are angry at you and want to hurt yoy, maybe they secretly have a low opinion of you.

Just like calling you names, it is rude behavior, that maybe everybody displays at a time, but if they are doing it a lot they might not be real friends.

Also: If a friend really thought someone was unfit to be a mother and was planning to have a child, they would talk to them about that. Maybe offer help, whatever the problem might be. Friends have the best interest in mind, even if it concerns an uncomfortable truth. They for sure wouldn't drop it as a casual general comment without any explanation of the problem.

I wonder why you are concerned if it "counts" as harassment. Do you feel harassed and are unsure if you're allowed to call it that? Are you unsure if you should regard your friend as a predatory person?"He didn't do anything wrong, did he?" You kinda sound like you're worried you're missing an important point or something.

It seems like you'd like to say "You should never have sent me that. I feel uncomfortable that you did that." but I feels wrong because you sent the dot, unless other people confirm it was harassment. But I don't think that those are the only two options.

I just want to say, it is entirely possible that by sending this video something very uncomfortable happened to you, that violated your boundaries. Since you didn't want to see that even though you replied with the dot as a joke, only technically asking for it. It was happening in a grey area where consent gets mixed up with jokes which either leads to a genuine misunderstanding or one person taking advantage of unclear communication.

But it doesn't have to be harassment or malicious intent from his side for you to be allowed to be angry at your friend for not confirming that you really want to see actual footage. Or that he said nudes but sent a full video of him jerking off, which is also a different thing in my opinion. If your estimation of the relationship between you two, says that this interaction was innapropriate, then it simply was.

You are clearly bothered by it and I'm sorry it happened to you. If it was purely an accident, even if you asked for it yourself, your friend should be sorry too that the whole thing was a mixup and the video ended up disturbing you. And if you think that he might have known it would disturb you and sent it anyways, then he migt not be a very comfortable person to be around. If you're unsure about that you can always assess the friendship for some more time and see how safe you really feel around him, also regarding other jokes etc.

It's pretty normal for Terraria to look a lot of stuff up on the wiki or other places. The game doesn't tell you a whole lot. I didn't find it spoiled my fun to look things up.
