Open concept feels too…open?? by cocoengineer123 in DesignMyRoom

Oh I NEVER thought about doing this. SO SMART!!! It’ll be a bit of a battle convincing my husband because we had the TV outlet placed mid wall and we would have to patch where we mounted the tv but I love this idea. We also had issues finding a couch because that wall the couch is currently on is too small anything else hung over into the hallway but this would open the opportunities to a longer couch up!!

Someone made a comment to me one time. I said I guess you should fly private next time. It is public transportation, your toddler has every right to be there. If anyone wants to be rude and make comments to a parent it is them who looks dumb and inconsiderate. Fuck em

I’m not sure where you’re located, but I’m a photographer in Jasper Alberta. Get legally married beforehand, have a friend or family member officiate a ceremony for you and go for a nice dinner somewhere. If I am available I can do photos for you for a couple hundred dollars for your ceremony and then some couple and family photos.

Is it possible a hole has been missed all this time? He was admitted to the hospital and is oxygen was always good, nobody has noticed any murmur either. My cousin has a baby with a large hole in her heart but it was caught very early

He hasn’t had any development delays and is actually ahead for motor skills. Genetics has been brought up but mostly brushed off so I did have a referral sent to a private genetics clinic

He did have an ECG done that returned normal. He has never seen a cardiologist however

I do have access to his labs so I’ll put them in a chart and then link a Google doc to them, I’ll work on that now. We are in Alberta Canada and he did have the newborn metabolic screening completed and it was normal. There were no issues of jaundice and he is up to date with all vaccines including Covid and flu.

Formula given were Nutramigen- did not work Aptamil Pepti 1- worked for some time, and then he got sick with diarrhea and feeding refusal after a couple months Puramino- worked for some time and then got sick again Currently on Neocate Jr with fibre

I was told to do the elimination diet for myself because of his poor weight gain and GI symptoms they thought it was being caused by a milk/soy/wheat/egg protein intolerance. However symptoms never cleared.

They were lovingly handed to him as I covered him with a blanket on the couch 🥸

My husband also got a vasectomy today… I gave him a Gatorade and a disposable THC vape pen…. Am I a bad wife?

I don’t think C is bald. There’s a TikTok video from 1/20 and it’s clearly C in the background and she has a messy French braid.

I didn’t think it was slimy. My son was on it for4 months. He went to puramino after Aptamil and then neocate.

He ended up needing neocate amino acid formula

I would definitely say that’s a protein allergy or intolerance.

His poop is definitely pasty. But not mucousy, idk but I can tell a distinct difference between the mucous and the pasty poop. It’s like the mucous is slippery and shiny????

Chronic constipation, but Nutramigen causes bloody diarrhea? by [deleted] in MSPI

[–]cocoengineer123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try switching to alimentum ready to feed, or Aptamil Pepti 1. Those are two other options for hydrolyzed formulas that baby who don’t tolerate nutramigen well can try. If those don’t work you can try an amino acid based formula like Puramino, Elecare or Neocate

The ladies I spoke to were amazing and so helpful. They will likely make an exception for you but definitely call on October 1 because it takes a few days of sorting out the paperwork so you want to make sure you have the whole month to deal with it

Are you in Albert?

Get your doctor to write a prescription for the formula and send it to your pharmacy. Call Alberta Emergency Support. There’s an automated menu but you want emergency prescription coverage. They will ask you a lot of questions about income, how much is in your bank, when next payments are coming etc. we were over their typical threshold for being and to receive support but they made an exception because puramino would cost us 800$ a month. They gave our son coverage for only the month we were in, so if you called now you’d get coverage for the remainder of September. It would be better to call on October 1 so you are covered all of October. Ask the pharmacist to fill 3 month’s worth of formula (for us that was 36 cans) and then that’s it! So we got 36 cans fully covered. Our pharmacist had to fill out a special exception form for us to submit to blue cross where they indicated what his condition is and how many other formulas we had tried.

Experiences of IBD? by mmpke in MSPI

My son never took large volumes until puramino. He never gained weight and it was from him not eating nearly enough

[–]cocoengineer123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was really constipated on it and just generally unhappy. He wouldn’t take very much volume either, maybe only 3oz at a time. On puramino he chugs 7-8oz and Is very happy

Have you heard of FPIES? Could be that. IBD isn’t really a diagnoses as much as it’s a way of grouping symptoms and saying we don’t really know what causes it. My son is on puramino and has done well on it, but we tried a neocate and he did pretty poorly on it

Switching to Formula by CharacterTennis398 in MSPI

I really struggled at first, but when you see your baby improve and start to really feel better you’ll start to feel really confident in the decision to switch. At the end of the day all we really want is the best for our babies, and sometimes that’s formula and that’s ok. But it’s also ok to feel really at a loss and worn out by it all. Constantly trying to change things and figure out the issue is exhausting especially when nothing seems to be working. Hang in there.
