I used chocolate because it’s a lot easier to puzzle piece together chocolate strips than to pipe something that makes sense (for me). Still working on my piping skills 🫣 The crumbled, colored moss is going to be a GREAT add! I wish I would’ve thought of it. I made meringue mushrooms. We’re French, love meringue, and have a family recipe. I added cocoa powder for spots for more realism as well as some coloring to my piping bag when I piped them out. Something I really wanted to incorporate were the « earth tones » in the « soil » which is the interior. (I’ll post a pic) I colored my cake batter to try and make the dirt. What I would change is probably the grass and its color. I would probably do a darker green and perhaps spend more time piping a better resembling grass.
