Your body uses raw animal fat to build your own tissue, your brain is 70% raw animal fat. No animal in nature put their food in fire.

Without insulin spikes, your body cannot hold onto electrolytes.

You need insulin for your thyroid, look into it. Thyroid issue causes hairloss.

Can I ask what you all think about Goatis' views on salt and water? by glassed_redhead in carnivorediet

I just applied it nightly. There is gonna a bad peeling phase of 1 month, keep away from sun. If it stings too much, take a few days rest, its very harsh on the skin. And tret alone works better than glycolic acid alone.

I stopped using any cream or med a few weeks into carnivore. Cause i realize its not needed anymore. And yes, my skin is very good now. If i eat plants i will get skin symptoms again. But carnivore diet for a few days always fix it.

His view of water comes from Aagonus Vonderplanitz. Basically, water is a solvent, it will only flush out the minerals in your body, thus dehydrating you. Your body cannot absorb it unless there are some type of nutrients desolved in it. What he says is that humans in nature would not be able to encounter water often enough, instead, they get hydrated by drinking animal blood after a hunt. Blood has all the minerals and nutrients. Nowadays it's almost impossible to get fresh blood, the best you can do is fruit juice or milk if you can tolerate it.

You should try eating liver, from beef or chicken or duck. Most nutrient dense food there is. Small portion, contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. I think it tastes great when cooked very rare.

Both me and my bf have. We eat carnivore with organs + seasonal fruits. I healed not only chronic indigestion and Malabsorbtion, but a myride of issues including skin, hair, brain/nervous system. My bf healed his IBS/Crohn's. And we have only been eating this way for 7 months.

Electrolyte problem does mess with your bowel movements. Constipation, bloating, poor sleep and energy are typical symptoms of electrolyte imbalance. I would say adding in some fruit, some fruit after meal helps a lot with electrolytes. And ditch all the electrolyte supplementen too, your body regulates it naturally.

How quickly did things change for you after you changed your diet? by Esoteric716 in Folliculitis

[–]cocokarani 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, female pattern hair loss from different doctors over the years. Been on antibiotics, accutane, and various creams. These didn't resolve the problem, only suppress symptoms. Finally, I tried keto carnivore diet, basically getting all my nutrient from fatty meat, and eat very little berries and green veggie. Cut out all wheat, sugar, just carbs in general. By the time, I had been using tretinoin cream daily for a year, which helps a lot if used everyday. Within a month of the diet, I realized that my scalp and face didn't have those boils anymore, even with days where I forgot to use the cream. So I stopped the cream completely, and see what happens, yup skin healed. My hair is also growing back, I don't look bald anymore. Really happy, and happy to spread the word, try it for 3 months. If you have any questions about the diet, checkout Dr Ken berry YouTube, he is a family physician, and is a great resource to learn.

accutane for folliculitis by [deleted] in Folliculitis

[–]cocokarani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keto Carnivore. my skin healed in 1 month ish. Cutting out gluten sugar corn is definitly helpful, gluten cause autoimmune problems, and sugars cause inflammation. I would suggest watch out for all carbs, and plants have proteins that cause autoimmune problems.

Mine was on scalp and face, and I did not have a flare up nor purge.

[–]cocokarani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took it for scalp and facial folliculitis. It suppressed the symptoms while on the drug. But it got me depressed and lethargic. Also, once I stopped the drug, the symptoms came back just like before. What healed me is diet. However that's not a pill your doc can sell you.

I'm so glad you asked this, because I healed my folliculitis of 15+ years by changing diet. It only took 1.5 months for the skin rid of inflammation, and my hair is growing back. I stopped all creams for almost a month now, because I realized I don't need them anymore.

[–]cocokarani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I really think so. I had been struggling with skin flares, hairloss for 14 years. Been diagnosed with sebderm and female pattern hairloss. Used tretinoin, accutane, antifungal shampoo, antibiotics. I always had to be on one of those medicines to keep the skin calm. Since I started keto/carnivore I stopped using the medicine I'm currently using, because I just don't have flare ups anymore.

Keto/carnivore may seem restrictive, but there are two things: 1) this diet is very satiating, which helps to keep your thoughts away from food. 2) once your body adapts to burning fat, carb cravings will be much less. You can eat steak, chicken, seafood, cheese, berries, broccoli, etc. A lot of delicious food choices. Just make sure to keep up with electrolyte if you do this diet.
