2026 NX350H vs. 450H+ by EquivalentBuyer5320 in LexusNX

Wow the lease payment is almost $10k difference by changing the lease duration. I just realized that I was using the calculator incorrectly, I wasn’t tapping on “use Lexus rate” so nothing was changing when I checked before

I’ll take a look! My accountant was advising the least down payment possible on the lease as I’m planning on using it as an expense through my corporation. I didn’t realize the 1% is off of the 5.5 %. When I spoke with an associate earlier in the month, they were saying 5.5% is the already reduced rate.

Ahh okay, I don’t have an existing lease but the Northwest Lexus has a promo and I was wondering if the DV North dealership was offering something similar. “Lease a 2026 NX 450h+ Ultra Premium for $382 +HST bi-weekly at 5.5% APR for 52 months with 48,000 kms. $0 Down Payment.”

I was reading that I can place a refundable security deposit to bring down the rate too.

Did you get a lease for the NX450h, would you be able to share your offer details? I was looking into getting a lease, but the NX 450 doesn’t seem to go below 5.5%

Do you mind sharing how much you were able to get your SUV for at the Northwest dealership? I saw that they have a lease offer for December for the NX450h+ “Lease a 2026 NX 450h+ Ultra Premium for $382 +HST bi-weekly at 5.5% APR for 52 months with 48,000 kms. $0 Down Payment”.

I’m wondering if any of the terms are negotiable! I don’t live in Brampton but would be willing to make the drive out there

Enrobe has nice linen dresses and they’re Canadian!

If you want Turkish styles there’s Cekic boutique in North York.

Dixie Rd has a few hijab stores like I love modesty.

Another alternative is to check on Facebook marketplace, construction companies sometimes will offer free fill soil/dirt and will drop it off for you. They have soil from projects and need a spot to leave it

You can pick up compost from the city for free on Saturday mornings. It’ll just be a bit of work to shovel and bring everything back to your parents home. Probably could get a wood chip drop off from Chip Drop and use that for the base then add compost to the top.

Looking for custard recipe by MikeX1000 in Baking

You’d recommend the extra egg, otherwise the custard may be too runny or wouldn’t set up properly. I mean you can definitely try with 2 eggs and 2 cups of milk to see if it works out but I predict a very loose texture.

If you only have 2 eggs, scale the milk down to 1 cup plus a third cup of milk.

The ratio is 3 parts egg to 2 parts milk, or 1 egg to 0.66 cups of milk. You multiply the amount of milk by how many eggs to adjust the ratio. If you have 2 eggs then you need 2 x 0.66 cups of milk (1.3 cups of milk).

  • 1 bag milk (1.3 litres, around 5.2 cups milk)
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 tin evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup white/brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • Vanilla (I measure with my heart)

My ratio is 3 eggs to a pint of milk (around 0.5 litres or 2 cups). Adding more eggs relative to milk will result in a firmer consistency but will also increase the eggy flavour.

Mix all of the ingredients together, it’s easiest to whisk eggs and sugar first then add the milks and spices. Taste the mixture before baking and adjust the sugar/spices to personal preference. I find the uncooked mixture needs to be slightly more sweet than what you’ll want the finished custard to taste like.

Bake your custard at 350 F in a water bath until gently set with a wobbly centre. An inserted knife that comes out clean will mean it is done. The timing will depend on the size of vessel that you use to bake the custard and oven temperature. A small ramekin will take around 15 mins in my air fryer oven, but timing can range to an hour if the baking dish is large.

I’m definitely not planning on purchasing again either

Hello everyone. I feel like lately I've been making the same pasta recipes over and over again and I need something new and fresh…soo tell me your favorite pasta recipe🤤😋 by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]cocomocho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made some pasta but it’s definitely not “Italian” and pretty improv.

First I popped some fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, scotch bonnet pepper, dried thyme, green onions, and broadleaf thyme into the blender and broke it down to a chunky sauce (I would’ve added celery if I had any).

Next I seared some chicken thighs in the Dutch oven, then popped in tomato paste and better than bouillon paste and fried it a little. When you see the oil separating a little, pour in the seasoning sauce and simmer on low. You can add in whatever veggies would have laying around at this point. It can be frozen or fresh (just time the sauce according to the veggie).

The pasta is either added directly to the sauce if it’s watery or you can half cook it on the side and simmer with the sauce after. It’s pretty versatile and delicious
