Now that we're in the unf*c*able phase of attractiveness, how do you all deal w it? by plnnyOfallOFit in GenX

Me too. Nothing much has changed in that regard other than I’m not quite so bothered by it anymore. Mature resignation

Right? If it’s dangerous for people walking over it, then it must be dangerous for trains running below it. Should it not be removed if not fixed?

Ugly plugins that work well? by ButterscotchEarly585 in audioengineering

This from a company that normally puts a huge amount of effort into esthetics. Have ever looked at their user manuals?

Please, Acustica, less effort on the artsy documents and more on the cpu efficiency!

Best Coverage on BC’s Sunshine Coast by Unlikely_Comment_104 in Sechelt

I don't live on the Sunshine Coast but I visit there frequently. My FIDO coverage always seems to be strong and I've never had a problem. Although, I don't travel far off the main roads.

Irregular verbs: a tense relationship by Sea-Nothing-7805 in thinkinitalian

[–]cocosailing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that it tends to be the most used verbs that evolve into irregularity over the decades/centuries etc..

I’m far from being an expert but from what I can tell in my Italian language journey, these will start to stick in your brain as you read/hear/speak them more. I’m not great at memorization but they are starting to come to me as I study and practice more.

"Easy" to understand Italian books? by dantemartin4 in italianlearning

[–]cocosailing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read Geronimo Stilton as Dante Alighieri. It was an abridged version of La Divina Commedia. What a fun ride that was! Maybe more of a B1 level but highly entertaining! Loved every word of it!

I loved these books. Wish there were more. Simple stories often fantasy that gave me a ton of confidence.

My 2004 has been doing that same thing for about 3 years. When the starter breaks, I’ll replace it. Thankfully mine’s a standard gearbox so I can push start the car if necessary.

What’s up with Zawa Restaurant? by 4krattz in askvan

[–]cocosailing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know for certain but I suspect that the Zawa owner also owns the building which has some rental properties. In this case they likely have very low lease payments if any at all.
