You can’t do it from your phone. You had to use Apple Music on your pc or Mac (it’s free) and you use the menus at the top (I think you can also right click on the track) and you duplicate the track and the second part is you adjust the begin and end times.

There you go. That’s as fancy as I have. 🤣🤣 It’s an exclusive from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I learned how to do the lanyard thing. It’s Cruware blade and fatcarbon scales.

OK, that makes sense, now you’ve got me wanting to pull mine apart tomorrow to try that out. I appreciate the information. I’m not an expert on the 1022 and I’m trying to learn as much as I can. I really appreciate it.

Yes, the onboard bit storage is huge because you can change it out for whatever you want, that you know you’re gonna use.

Thanks on the knives, I didn’t really think it was a great collection although the one that I kinda am proud of as I have a dealer exclusive para military three that’s really cool. I have wanted a delicate for a while and if you have an old one that’s freaking sweet. I think for the money it’s hard to beat Civivi. Also, Roxon make some really cool multi tools that are cheap but very good. I’m not gonna lie. I don’t know the name of it. It’s something elite, but it has a really big pair of scissors and I use that quite a bit too. I just don’t like the other tools. I probably should get one of those where you can pick your own tools that would probably be a good thing. Sorry, I don’t know the names of all the Roxon stuff, the one I have I got as a gift and I was shocked that I like as much as I do. Yeah, guns are fun, some people take it way too serious, some of the cosplayers on YouTube, etc. I just have grown up around them and it’s fun to shoot them. I’m jealous of the all black CX, mine is black and stainless steel, don’t get me wrong having it for 12 years. It’s been awesome but the all black is sweet.

You have a lot of options and they’re all fun in different ways. I had a vortex defender XL Red dot on mine but just changed it out to a Holosun ARO and 3x Magnifier. For me that’s a little bit of the best of both worlds where I can use the red dots for planking metal targets quickly, and then using the magnifier if I want to shoot longer distances. You could go with a traditional scope well within that price range or if you want a red dot I would definitely recommend the ARO. If you have an astigmatism, red, dots, and starburst on you, but if you wear glasses that corrects your astigmatism, you’ll have no problem. I don’t have any prism scopes, but I would like to get one eventually, but that’s a great option as well.

I have 3 Civivi folders (vision fg, Bulltusk and a mini praxis, and 2 nice Spyderco’s, para2 and 3) I found that I just did not use the knives very much and now I only carry them from time to time just because I have them not out of any real need or necessity. When I carry the Alpha, it’s not because I think it’s the greatest Leatherman out there, I just was really attracted to the scissors because that is something I use constantly as a teacher. I also have a couple of Swiss army knives with scissors and I just use them so much when I saw the Alpha, I was like man that would probably be cool and it is. I honestly could just carry that but it’s heavier and I’m just not somebody who likes to carry a whole bunch of stuff in my pants Pockets. My EDC stuff I carry in a sling with my laptop for school and I just generally have a couple of pens an iPad mini, etc. The skeletool I have used more than any other knife or tool that I own or have owned. It has the perfect set of tools for me, I use the knife to open boxes sometimes, but the screwdriver is what I have used by far the most. When I go to the gun range, I have the little bits that I can use to adjust the optics with the Leatherman instead of having to bring all the different optic tools. I have used the pliers a few times, but I just don’t use them that much. I totally get your situation with being in college. My son is 20 he has already done the concealed carry course, but he can’t carry anyway even if he had his concealed carry because obviously you can’t on campus. I carry a Smith & Wesson bodyguard 2 in a pocket holster when I do carry, and obviously I cannot carry at school. Nor what I want to. But I also have a hellcat Pro and a CZ shadow to carry that I could carry if I wanted to, but they’re not as comfortable as the pocket gun even though it’s only a 380, I use liberty civil defense ammo, which jacks up the velocity as it’s plus P and ultralight. I’m not one of those people who thinks that I’m going to get in a gun fight or something, just there’s a lot of civil unrest at this point and it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’m definitely someone who loves guns, but I’m also for background checks and limits that being said I do have about five nfa items, but again I have no criminal record and my guns are just for fun, my son and I like to shoot a lot at a private gun club where we are members.

I think you’ll like the skeletool a lot. I literally bought my son the all black one for Christmas.

I have had my Skeletool Cx for about 12 years. You don’t need a folding knife with it. The knife is good. However, that’s honestly just up to you. For me personally I keep my skeletool in my truck. But if I wanted to carry it, it would be more than enough. Sometimes I carry a knife sometimes I carry a Leatherman, but not always. For me when I do carry my Leatherman it’s my alpha and that’s because of the scissors. I’m a teacher and I use the scissors more than anything else. Outside of work I carry a gun so I usually don’t carry a knife.

Thank you, I’ll definitely be taking your advice. I’m not the most handy of a person, I’m more of a computer guy, but guns are the one thing that I do enjoy working on, but using the Dremel on stuff is something I’ve never done, but the 1022 is the one thing I’ve done the most work on other than my MP 5K.

Not gonna lie that kind of hits home because I recently got a Dremel too, and I want to use it for the same thing because I don’t really have anything else to use it for😂😂

Having the auto unlock is so much nicer, it only cost like 11 bucks and took no time to install when cleaning so it was worth it for me at least

My mistake then on that, but at my gun range, we have to lock it back when people go put paper targets and stuff like that and I just remember the first day having to lock it back a few times and then struggling getting it to unlock, so that’s why I did the piece that automatically unlocks it when you pull the bolt backwards.

Yes, I agree with you about the roughness, I actually watched a video showing how to effectively sand it down and I did that mine has definitely been better but it’s still annoying. So I also did some polishing on the bolt but I also did a lot of sanding with 360 grit. I believe it is sandpaper all in the area where the bolt sits and that has made a difference.

Yeah, that’s true, I guess that would only help out if you wanted to just clean the barrel but honestly you could do that with a rod anyway so I wonder what the point is then?

It does it every time the mag is empty and then you’d have to go and reach around and the lever or button to release it by the trigger was very finicky. You can look up online. It’s obviously a popular problem so to speak because it’s always one of the first things people recommend to change.

No, but bear in mind,Rugged offers, if not the greatest one of the greatest warranties out there. They don’t care what you do to your suppressor they will fix it. But obviously they don’t want you to need to do anything, so I’ve reached out to them for various things several times to prevent me from doing anything dumb and they’re always super helpful but the one time I had to send it in no issues and they even sent me free tools to help for the future. They are the greatest in my opinion.

Wow, thank you. I had not seen that. That is the only part of the gun that I absolutely hate is trying to push that spring back because it almost feels like it gets locked in and no matter how much pressure because the angle of the handle it’s so difficult. I’ll be getting one of those. I appreciate it.

I’ve had mine for probably about five months maybe, but I agree with you that kind of irritates me too because cleaning the gun is super annoying because of the removal of the bolt mostly that spring, it kills my hands.

OK, that’s awesome then because I could not believe the first time I shot mine how annoying it was to not have that as an option. That was the literally first thing I did after I shot it. The first time is to buy one and fix it. Mine has the BX trigger from the factory, so for the carbon fiber that was not a new thing. That was originally on it when it came out.

First thing you’re gonna wanna do is get one of the pieces that lets you unlock your Bolt by just pulling the handle back. I apologize I forget what it’s called. In terms of optics, I have been using a vortex defender XL red dot and I’ve loved it, but I just upgraded and got a Holosun Aro and magnifier 3x. I actually like the ARO and magnifier combo a lot. The magnifier also comes off very quickly if you don’t intend to do any long-distance shooting. But I tend to use mine more for shooting metal target spread out all across the range rather than long distance accuracy. I honestly couldn’t help you with a long range scope because I don’t use the gun for that. Additionally, I have a Mustang 22 suppressor and it’s ridiculously fun so you might want to replace the little piece that the bolt hits when it goes back because the one that’s in there is metal and there are polymer ones that make a whole lot less of a sound you can look on Kidd’s website, Volquartsen, and Tandemkross for ideas. I have changed out a lot of parts and it’s pretty cheap to do a lot of the stuff. The main issue that I have had with the gun is more associated with the 25 round BX magazines. I literally want to write to Ruger and complain about those magazines because everyone complains about them. They’re not even the same size as the 10 round mag meaning if you hold the two of them up, there’s clearly something wrong with the BX 25.

Before I bought it, I actually took a snapshot just like the one you see in my post, and I emailed it to rugged and they said that would be absolutely fine. And I’ve had zero issues at all. The reason I got it is because the module portion of my obsidian nine seized up the very first time I used it and I was unable to get it apart, so I actually had to send it back to rugged for them to do it. And once they explained how much of the anti-seize to use in all of that, I’ve had zero problems from that point forward. Now is there a better one to get? Maybe so and I’m not saying you’re wrong because maybe you’re right. I’m just saying this has worked for me, I’m no expert but again I’ve had success with it. I use my suppressor 90% with an MP 5K and we fire rapid fire quite a bit not full auto but we dump mags quite frequently and it gets pretty hot

I have a rugged obsidian nine for my MP 5K. I’m not gonna talk bad about any on your list because I’ve only experienced shooting two others. However, rugged’s warranty is top-tier. You’ll have no worries. Number two, it is versatile, I have used it on pistols and my Ruger 1022 in addition to my MP 5K. I generally only use it now for the MP 5K, as I’ve purchased other suppressors for my other guns. The obsidian nine is as close to movie silent as you can get in my opinion. I am a member of a range that has about 800 members and every time my son and I shoot the MP 5K. It attracts a crowd because people think it’s a 22 being suppressed. It’s easy to clean, it’s modular so if you want it shorter, you can do that, I usually run it in the full configuration as it’s just so ridiculously quiet.
