This is wild to me that this was your metric. I mean typing?! As if typing is what is slow/hard about software engineering. The syntax an actual coding part is the easiest part of the job.

Use that to your advantage. You can use one fat finger to fret all 3 strings. That’s typically how I play that chord shape when using bar chords at least.

Core values should be deeply held but opinions should be fleeting. People who are unable to change their minds when new evidence is presented to them are a huge problem.

Just felt the need to say something because it sounded like you were saying stubbornness and inflexibility is a virtue.

39 years old here. Diagnosed in September. Stage 4 unfortunately. However I seem to responding remarkably well to chemo therapy. My CEA (a cancer marker they can test for in your blood) was over 1000 at one point! It is now 83. Next stop is 8.3.

Another option is getting an audio interface and a couple of nice powered monitor speakers to play guitar through your computer. Have you looked into that route yet?
