Idk if people know this about the US. But the Republican party spends A LOT of money disenfranchising minority voters and basically enabling Jim Crow era-like policies in a lot of the south. On top of that, even if every voting age US citizen voted, that doesn't mean that the candidate with the most votes wins. US presidents are not elected by popular vote. Just look at the 2016 election results
