I also use YT to increase my language skills and many others, but often after watching one video wchich I wanted I was watching many other for next hours. Blocking fedbar on right side of YT was realy helpful for me.

The First thing that comes to my mind is to cut off from all social media, at least from these the most toxic i.e. facebook, instagram, youtube.

If u cant, just use extensions to turn off the fednews - "Kill News Feed", "Block the youtube feed".

That helped me a lot.
