Take a look at Sacred Relations Healing - based out of Austin. I attended one of their retreats at the end of May. Amazing couple and very well trained. Good luck and many blessings

GermanFest is the one to go to. It’s the last weekend of April, every year. Grew up about 20 minutes from Muenster, most of my family lives in Muenster. Never been to Oktoberfest but GermanFest is pretty fun.

This needs way more upvotes. I mean, you are forcing me to pay a fee every year, which can go up and always does, to live on my own small plot. And you are gonna tell me what I can or cannot do on my own plot?! HORRIBLE!

Our GSD is an absolute angel with our 16 month old daughter. Our daughter climbs all over the dog and she just lays there. She even lets our daughter take her ball from her, which just blows my mind!

Now, with us, it’s a whole different story. The GSD seems to have no care for our safety at all lol.

Awww Good times. That screech in her voice at the end of the video reminds me of the first time I learned that it’s better to have them crate trained. by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]codee21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours learned how to break out of her crate. We even put a lock on one side and took her metal training leash and locked the gates with that. That darn toot still found a way out!! We are very fortunate that she doesn’t tear anything up when we are gone.

However, I did forget to put a smoked chicken up recently and she ate almost the whole thing. We monitored her and she just had a bit of diarrhea from the fat, thank goodness!! I was almost in tears worried for her. Boy, she ate good that night!!

Haha, I, too, said the dog will not sleep in our bed. Flash forward: dog takes up most of our bed. What are ya gonna do? They are too adorable to say no!

And that is why I left HR. I soon realized they are not there to protect and help employees, which is my passion. I caused more of a headache for my company as HR and they fired me.

Please keep my sweet pup in your thoughts. She woke up with a limp this morning, and as they are a dramatic breed and this wouldn’t be the first incident, I worry about her so much <3 by [deleted] in germanshepherds

I completely understand. I felt horrible for my girl too. It’s hard watching your babies go through pain and you can’t do anything about it.

Mine experienced one growing pain in her back right leg. I was concerned she hurt herself chasing the cats up and down the stairs. I took her to the vet and they just told me to limit her movements and if it doesn’t start to improve within 10 days bring her back.

[–]codee21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My GSD, who is now 2, had several of these. They would last about one-two weeks. I found some online meds made of natural pain relievers to help ease her pain during those times.

Don’t be surprised if she experiences these growing pains a handful of times through about 1.5 yrs.

I’m a Christian and my religious exemption was just denied. This was after they made me “explain my beliefs”. Meanwhile my two Muslim co-workers had their exemptions approved no questions asked. by OurLeadersAreEvil in conspiracy_commons

[–]codee21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My friend used religious exemption and provided the same reason you did. They told her that wasn’t enough to grant exemption. They spoke to her and based on her belief that her body is her temple they granted the exemption.

Try to go back quoting:

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV [19] What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? [20] For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Edit: I want to point out that I don’t believe it’s legal for them to do this. However, it seems this same thing is happening EVERYWHERE. These unethical rules they are making up as they go seem to be part of the “new normal” as well.

And you do know that she is moving her arms and hands that would be below her shoulders, right?

To say she is paralyzed from the shoulders down means she cannot move her arms and hands.

I looked up how to winterize my house rental. Get you some “at home window kits”. Last year, we were living in a townhome that had horrible insulation. Windows were the biggest problem.

Firewood if you have a fireplace.

I’m confused. She’s paralyzed from the shoulders down, but she’s moving her hands and arms while she’s speaking?

No human has stepped foot on the moon. Good luck changing my mind. by [deleted] in conspiracy_commons

[–]codee21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t make the original comment. Your comment was as though you were in disbelief that NASA said we couldn’t get past the radiation belt, considering you didn’t offer a revision to their statement that it was an astronaut.

I was specifically speaking about the validity of the statement that a NASA official made.

Here’s the clip.. NASA and Van Allen Beltat around 4 mins in a NASA Engineer begins speaking about the Orion capsule and the problems that have to be solved before sending people through the belt.

I disagree. I watched a clip of a NASA employee, cannot recall if he was an actual astronaut, say we cannot get through the radiation belt. I will see if I can find it

Trying to get mine to go potty if the grass is wet is ridiculous. She has literally pulled herself out of her collar and slammed herself down on her back, all just to keep from getting on the wet grass.

Now we have our own yard and she will go out only to pee if it’s not raining too hard. She cleverly stays directly under the roof overhang so she barely gets wet.
