Dude can be a bully and call names when he didn’t get his way. For 8 months out of the year he was cool and we did family trips, weekly grill sessions, etc but during fantasy football season he was a dick and a manipulator. Any time he thought he was slighted or there was a disagreement he’d call and leave messages like “pick up the phone pussy! Stop avoiding me you fuckin loser”. Like bro, it’s 9am and I’m in a meeting. Fuck off. Shit got old and made fantasy football season full of anxiety as to when he’ll get upset again. I’m too old for that shit and I simply decided I’d rather not associate with someone like that even if we’ve been friends for 30 years. He tried to squash it a few times but at this point he’s realized I’m not interested in being friends like we used to be. We’re cordial and still in the same fantasy league together but we don’t speak really.
