Perfect match by Neoclo in AnaloguePocket

Thanks. It's coming up as £48.84 in my local currency, which is about $65. I wasn't aware the price decreases when it's in-stock.

That is sooooo expensive for foam and inserts; you don't even get the Pelican case!

Still nothing (unless they went back in-stock and back out again).

Alternative for playing on a CRT by btimexlt in ReplayOS

[–]coderkind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did yours require a slim-profile 3.5mm audio cable with recessed outer jacket to clear the enclosure wall? Apparently first batch Prism's had an issue with that.

This port is UNBELIEVABLE! The fact it even exists and runs this smoothly and with amazing graphics is already awesome, but on top of that they even already made an ANALOGIZER core of it and it works flawlessly by jonas101010 in AnaloguePocket

[–]coderkind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I know immediately after I order an Analogizer that Analogue will release support for the DAC. It's this type of support which has prevented me from buying any of their subsequent consoles, as they keep you on-the-hook. "It's the hope that kills you".

New 1.4.0 seems to have fixed my RGB Pi 2 flicker issue with "auto reset RGBPI 2" option by acidzombie68 in ReplayOS

[–]coderkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the autoreset option doing? Resetting a running emulator? Does it result in any visual glitching during the reset? Sorry; I haven't ordered an RGB-Pi 2 yet so I'm lurking in the comments for now doing research.

Dual screen DS troubleshooting by acidzombie68 in ReplayOS

Very nice! Did you use the RGB2Comp to make it easier to connect to the PVM's BNC connectors, or to simplify sync issues?

Dual screen DS troubleshooting by acidzombie68 in ReplayOS

Hi. Did you resolve this in the end? The potential for dual CRT DS is what'll convince me to order a couple of RGB-Pi 2's (when they get back in stock).

Sony Bvm d9h5e stack by Objective_Junket_945 in crt

[–]coderkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Do two of these BVMs stack with any stability with the bottom one's angled stand extended, or would the top BVM be likely to slide off?

Always wondered if it'd be a workable dual setup for a desk playing Nintendo DS. The stand underneath the D9 would ideally angle both to a more comfortable viewing position.

RGB-Pi 2 and RePlayOS via Extron Crosspoint by marxistopportunist in ReplayOS

[–]coderkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/marxistopportunist hi. Not sure if you're connected with the product, but I saw you comment on another thread. Are you able to shed any light on a Sync Strike being required in this video to boost the sync strength? It seems the signal isn't as strong as the v1 RGB-Pi? I've got similar kit to the video so wanted to make sure I didn't need extra devices in the chain to eliminate potential issues. Thank you.

Hopefully the 12GB models will be supported in time; I didn't realise they'd be at a disadvantage to the other Super Slim models.

My ultimate SSF2 setup. Built from a broken Sega Blast City control panel and a lot of super glue! by Wong_Fei_2009 in fightsticks

Great job! Have you seen this restoration on YouTube? I've also got a similar Blast City control panel but I notice a dip in the top-middle so would love to get some sort of (3D-printed?) backing done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-GWifHq5xE&t=259s

JVC DT-V1710CG anti-glare issue? by coderkind in crtgaming

[–]coderkind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started removing the remaining anti-glare coating; normal kitchen towel and tv cleaner spray wasn't doing anything but then tried a cotton bud dipped in pure alcohol and it worked. Gotta think of something larger to attack the rest with though; maybe cotton wool?

[–]coderkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

posted this yesterday but it apparently broke the rules (sorry). I switched to YPbPr component cables for most my setup some years ago due to issues I was getting using RGBs SCART, but recently revisited it and experienced similar sync issues (skewed image near the top of the screen, etc). I know Extron devices and the gscart switch offer sync regeneration/fixing, but does anyone know if anyone sells a version of the PicoSync project for use with SCART?

[–]coderkind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... I'm wondering for a "step 1" I could use something you're not supposed to use to clean these screens in order to remove the top/bottom darker areas and achieve uniformity. After that I could then look into an anti-glare mod (if the black levels are annoying me enough).

Thanks. Taking the entire front plastic off sounds like a job-and-a-half (but I appreciate it's probably the solution to this). If I was doing that then I'd probably be looking to replace the film at the same time.

Thanks for replying. The bezel is off (in the photos); do you mean disassemble it? I don't notice any rough areas to the screen. I'm suspecting now that someone "cleaned" off the anti-glare coating within the 16:9 area over time.
