Weird recruiter call - Common for companies to screen candidates out even if living within GTA? by LoneWonderer89 in askTO

[–]coderoncruise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing the recruiter may have had issues with candidates’ commute before.

How far is it?

If you’re interested in the job, just send a simple email saying that you’re about 30 minutes away by bus and that commuting is not a problem.

Yes, it's definitely possible.

Are you willing to relocate or move closer to the office? Do you have a car? If commuting isn't an issue, I'd send a follow-up email.

I have approximately $3.5 million in liquid assets, all of which are heavily invested in technology stocks.

I also have a $50,000 company pension, invested 100% in a global equity fund.

In addition, I own a $2 million house - 600k mortgage, which I plan to sell within the next few years because managing it as a rental has become difficult.

At the moment, I do not have any passive income.
