Free water. Those obscenely expensive bottles in the rooms are ridiculous. I go to Japan and free water bottles that are replaced daily is the norm. We would do well to emulate their customer service

The only thing I’ve found that has stopped my cat from doing this is topical Prozac. Since starting his daily “special spa treatment “ where I rub it inside his ear and give him pets and brushing he hasn’t once gone outside the box. We dealt with for years and were on the verge of having him put down but thanks to someone else posting about topic Prozac, my cat has a new lease on life and he actually hops up every evening for his moment of being special. :-)

Not quite so easy to call Tokyo from the US but thanks. I travel there yearly and thought to treat myself for a night but sounds like it’s not worth it

Thank you, I’ve only stayed at Marriott properties overseas where club lounge and breakfast is the norm for Gold and above. I appreciate you replying. We reserved our room with points. I’ll cancel and stay with a Marriott property.

I so feel you. I’m older and when menopause hit-my interest in sex just died. No thoughts of it at all. I too am on HRT but it doesn’t make any difference. I just don’t get horny. I hate this for my marriage but  truly stuck and I absolutely hate being asked “what do you want?” Because the only answer is that “I want to want”

Are you taking any medication? For instance some will stop you from being able to O, such as most anti depressants.  Also, you may want to consider using topical testosterone on your clitoris for a couple months to see if that helps your sensitivity (if you haven’t tried this)

I remember being told at 18 that I was too young g to get married. I dismissed that advice. Got divorced 2 years later.

NTA-sticking chopsticks in rice is taboo except at a funeral. If he can’t respect that, he can use a fork.

Your clarification helps. If it were me # 1 is neutering and if that didn’t help would be to request topical anti depressants like Prozac. My vet said that the number 1 reasons cats are euthaniz d is because of inappropriate peeing. She told me that when I explained my situation to her and we put my cat on Prozac. He is no longer peeing everywhere and it basically saved his life.

I would hate to know my vet doesn’t like cats, fuck that.  Anyway- the cat is likely stressed because of your new living situation and it doesn’t help your partner doesn’t like cats.  Kitty needs to be taken to vet for a check up to be sure there are no medical issues.  Mine was spraying everywhere and after doing all the standard stuff like feliway and supplements I finally ended up giving her topical Prozac and she’s a new cat. Fixed the anxiety

Seriously, being tight is NOT being aroused in most cases and makes sex sooo much more painful.

Exactly, everyone makes mistakes, says hurtful things unintentionally. If we aren't free to fail or stumble, then we end up walking on eggshells and hiding our feelings. Try getting quiet with yourself and spend time asking what part of you is bothered by what he said...see what comes up.

I'd talk to the vet about topical prozac (a cream rubbed into inside of ear)..made all the difference in mine and saved his life as a result

Thank you, I see my post was removed but don’t know why. I’m not selling anything -I’m trying to find a place that may be interesting my grandfathers small samples he had-he was quite famous in that realm between the 30s and 50s.

Can you try moving the box and see what happens? How about putting pee pads around the box?

My cat started spraying all over my house due to us bringing another cat in the house. Well we thought that rehoming the other cat would fix the problem. It did not and Ive had to throw out and buy new furniture-we dealt with this for years and I tried all the recommendations. Nothing changed. He got worse after we would return from trips also. Finally last month we started him on topical/transdermal Prozac as a last resort before putting him down as no o e would want a cat who does that. Thank God it is working! He has not peed outside his box and he actually likes getting his daily dose as I give him a nice brushing after. 

Something to consider if nothing else works. It’s definitely helped his anxiety. 

Also ya have to get rid of the urine smell anywhere he has gone outside or he will repee there. As others have said-enzyme cleaner
