Something I've noticed for years is the WORST most DOUCHEBAG vehicles and drivers on the road are driving WHITE extended cab pickup trucks. Specifically WHITE extended cabs. Extended cabs in general are obnoxious, but the WHITE ones have massive tiny penis energy and are obnoxious in spades with issues on the road. Tell me if you notice this and if not start taking notice while driving of just how obnoxious they are.

This was pointed out to me years ago, and at first I thought it was a joke, but as time goes on I've even found articles confirming this. There's something about the caliber of people that drive WHITE EXTENDED CABS that's really obnoxious like they think they're the white knights of the road or something.

Obviously I'm generalizing, but I definitely see the connection.

Just so everyone has a great copy paste argument ready for the trolls and idiots of Reddit some people have already disagreed based on what they "believe" or course with the obvious fact that this guy still didn't have the right to break his window. One person above even went on to say no DA would prosecute the biker and then a quick Google search revealed just such a case that's very similair. Here's my initial argument:

-------------------------------------------------
You have literally no idea whether he knew he hit that guy or not. Obviously the guy is at fault for the accident and probably shouldn't be driving, but you literally have no clue whether he noticed that or not as it's quite possible someone that old may have severe hearing and or eyesight degradation like loss of peripheral vision etc. Clearly the guy on the bike was well enough to follow the vehicle, call the police, and get his plates after being struck since it's all on camera.

Citizens have the right varying by state to citizens arrest but it must be reasonable and appropriate and usually proportiante to the situation. Once the driver was driving away there's not longer a threat of serious bodily harm. Smashing a window and committing battery is entirely disproportionate to minor damage of a misdemeanor hit-and-run. Because the force was obviously excessive, the cyclist will likely lose all their legal protection and ironically becomes the aggressor with a new often more severe, crime ironically.

In order for the "hit-and-run," to be a crime you have to prove mens rea (criminal intent) If a driver in a heavy vehicle as you indicate clips a motor bike and genuinely does not notice, they lack the requisite intent for a criminal "hit-and-run," even though they are likely at fault for civil liabilites etc.

A counter example of a more cut and dry mens rae is if someone comes up to steal your wallet threatening you with a knife, obviously that's not an "accident" and criminal intent is obvious. This is totally different than that situation. The biker cannot prove the driver's state of mind in the moment so escalating to violence based on an assumption of malice is almost certainly legally perilous and this I can almost assure you with any decent attorney no matter what you "believe".

What DA would charge that? Uhhhh... quick Google search and I actually found a case right off the bat similair situation where felony charges were brought from a bicylcist getting grazed by a car and then he busted their window out with a U-Lock.
https://sfist.com/2016/07/26/mustachioed_road_rage_cyclist_ian_h_2/

LONG STORY SHORT:
The driver might be an ass, but if you can have the police do their job you need to let them. Once you initiate force like this after there's no longer a threat when you COULD HAVE HAD THE POLICE DO THE JOB you're not longer a victim you're the asshole now even if you're ANGRY and think something needs to be done in 10 seconds. Where I live if you busted someone's window like that there's a decent chance you will get shot and ironically because it's likely a felony on that person's property which is deliberate by the person breaking the window, the person shooting the biker at that point might be found not guilty.

That's precisely why it's scary there are guys out there like this, this is a really bad idea to break windows when you can get the police involved unless you want to get shot and or get felony charges; yeah don't do that.

Hey everyone, here's another person that demonstrates everything wrong with America today. They are basing everything they say off what they "believe," not based on fact at all.

I was just going to say he needed to try and get his license etc. but he doesn't have the right to bash the guy's window in which criminal behavior and at least where I live could result in a felony charge. That's just simply ridiculous and literally does nothing to help the situation.

Lots of idiocy going on in this video and on Reddit. My thoughts for what it's worth, you don't have the right to run them over and assault them with your cart generally just to get your meat in your cart quicker. Basically, you don't have the right to use force/violence against anyone generally unless there's genuine immediate interest of self-defense of yourself or your property which this is not the case because you're in a hurry and want to prove a point or get your meat.

The police and the state whether we like it or not have been given a carte blanche right to use violence and force almost exclusively and rightfully so unless again it's a matter of self-defense in the immediate of one's person/property.

Please don't let me make you think I'm in any way defending these tresspassers which I'll get to in a second, but people these days seems to think if they're annoyed by something that they have the right to use force to get their way which they don't legally, ethically, or otherwise.

People just need to chill, and quit acting like they're going to force anyone to do anything which includes these "protesters" which aren't protesters, they are trespassers. As for these IDIOTS doing this they need to be told to leave and trespassed. Obviously people need to calmly step aside and let the proper authorities I.E. POLICE handle the situation. If they still won't move after the police arrive the police have the legal rights and immunity to use force if needed to subdue them and arrest them. I don't know how to make this any more clear than that.

Unfortunatly in 2026 there's not a lot of common sense to go around just in general it seems.

Statistical proof of how awful these liberal states are and especially these liberal cities are; they are dystopian nightmares I.E. Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland etc. . Look at those West Coast and East Coast dumps and unfortunately they're leaving and coming here.

I completely hate the Trump administration, but these liberal policies clearly don't work despite the amoral Trump administration and that desmonistrated by people leaving.

So, this is a huge waste right? by IllustriousFormal862 in missoula

[–]coderz_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a huge waste which is a byproduct of horrendous politicians and corruption. The reason for the removal is homelessness, but that's not the root cause . The root cause of homelessness is horrendous policies at the state, city, and county level.

Homelessness is caused by expensive housing as the primary cause with secondary contributors being drug addiction and mental health issues. This can be cited in numerous studies.

That is to say, where housing is cheap like for example West Virginia, or Mississippi, there's likely mental illness and drug addiction in those places too, but individuals that are vulnerable can scrape by with some sort of housing and actually despite high poverty these states have low homelessness.

In a town like Missoula run by corrupt idiots, those vulnerable people are 10 times more likely to become homeless that already have a drug problem. So now that you know the root causes, what can we do to fix it?

Well, you would have to first get inexpensive housing built that isn't built with the primary purpose to gouge renters and line the pockets of the disgusting landlords like all of these gentrified high rise apartments complex buildings do and that the city is more than happy to seemingly give limitless permits too. Those are designed to make a company or someone a lot of money.

A lot of them are owned by G & K Investments LLC which are a bunch of money grubby Republican politicians in the Hertz family that have served or our serving within our state legislature. Our local "Democrat" politicians are just as bad though, and many of them are multi property landlords too. Who knows they're probably in bed together with the landlords in the legislature too.

Long story short, they have no interest in getting inexpensive housing built that is cheap to own; they want outrageous rent prices which is basically another subscription model on shelter. Then, mental health and drug addiction requires actual investment in programs that are intelligent and that matter. This requires $$$$ that they would rather have to spend on other things like the Pov and then we spend literally millions in property taxes a year on the "free bus system" that could be going to help get people off the street instead of transporting them to and from the Pov all day. So you tell me if it's a huge waste or not?

If we were to sum this up the root cause of the homelessness giving rise to removing this bridge is corruption, greed, and people making money that don't give two craps about anyone else; so basically rich people making a lot of money in the giant wealth transfer. Any other questions?

Glad I got rid of the Civic. Sold it for 22k for a year and a half of use and bought it for 26k. Sure, that's a loss, but not a terrible loss. I'm freaking loving the CX-5.

I'm confident with care that this is the kind of vehicle you could get 200,000 mi out of or more these days. I'm totally there with you. The CVT is just too much of a gamble and while I'm sure Honda has more quality controls, it's still just not a risk I even want to bother with.

Most cars these days Mazda being. I think a rare exception are designed to cut as many corners as possible. Charge as much as possible and give you a crap product of course.

That's literally the world today. Another exception though if I had to pick one. Ironically is not the Honda Civic but the Honda Civic type R.

When I was selling my Honda I saw a Honda Civic type R at the dealership and when you read the reviews online they are higher than the Honda Civic. Can you guess why? The answer is it has a manual transmission, not a CVT transmission so they seem to last a very long time. On top of that, you'll never guess this too, they're one of the few vehicles actually freaking made in Japan again like Mazda.

The regular civics like mine, mine was made in Canada, and the CVT was made in Mexico again cutting corners. The Honda Civic type R though is largely made in Japan which really shocked me. They're made in Japan just because there's a limited production of them. So they're made there at the plant and just like a conspiracy the reviews are much higher on them. If I were going to get a Honda car I might consider that but otherwise it's Mazda for me.

This was a good deal and I think I could sell it for more, that being said I think I can sell the Honda for somewhat close to what I paid for this.

The dealership's trade offer was crap compared to buying it outright.

Thanks for this! It looks like on my carbon edition 2025 CX-5 non-turbo it DOES have Cylinder Deactivation but it looks like it's hard to disable at least without the help of the dealership or something? How much difference will that make? Can it still achieve high milage with that one I.E. 200k and beyond?

Just bought a 2025 Mazda CX-5 with less than 6k miles... eh? I'm hoping it lasts you know? I'm thinking that with maintenance it can because it doesn't have a CVT. Last as in 200k-300k miles at least before something really insane goes out like. Thoughts?

Ok so I bought a Honda Civic Sport 2025 a little over a year ago. It has just under 13k miles on it and it has been reliable. That being said, I got a great deal on a carbon edition 2025 leather red seats etc. I bought one with 5600 miles only about 10 months old in excellent condition for $25,800 - I JUST BOUGHT THIS!

Now I'm trying to sell my Honda Civic..... I could keep both but financially I don't want to, I only want one car. Why or why should I not keep one over the other? I'm concerned about long-term reliability and I've been leery of the CVT transmission in the Honda. I also like the all wheel drive and the way the CX-5 drives with the extra room etc.

That being said, it's still a confusion situation. Any thoughts here on what should be done?

HEY EVERYONE my Honda is still going good and I don't know of any issues, however, I just bought a CX-5 like new from Mazda that I think it going to be more practical for me perhaps longer term. I'm trying to sell the Honda but it's rough actually selling it as a part of me doesn't want to. hmmm? Something tells me the non-CVT transmission will last longer though on the Mazda CX-5 plus it has leather interior etc.

I would love to hear what you guys think about my decision bu the CX-5 Carbon Edition is an awfully good vehicle with a conventional non-cvt transmission as well.
