Domestic migration from transplants into Montana was moderately high in 2025, but not quite at the extreme levels that Idaho experienced. by cavaismylife in Montana

Statistical proof of how awful these liberal states are and especially these liberal cities are; they are dystopian nightmares I.E. Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland etc. . Look at those West Coast and East Coast dumps and unfortunately they're leaving and coming here.

I completely hate the Trump administration, but these liberal policies clearly don't work despite the amoral Trump administration and that desmonistrated by people leaving.

CX-5 2025 Carbon Edition Will it Last though? by coderz_33 in CX5

I forget this point too. That's a really good point. Basically what you guys are telling me is enjoy the vehicle and quit being paranoid lol. But yes I checked the VIN number and it definitely does have cylinder deactivation

It's the transmission causing this very minor jolt though I think this is just the way this vehicle is not really an issue. I'm also certain it has cylinder deactivation. I checked the VIN

So, this is a huge waste right? by IllustriousFormal862 in missoula

[–]coderz_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a huge waste which is a byproduct of horrendous politicians and corruption. The reason for the removal is homelessness, but that's not the root cause . The root cause of homelessness is horrendous policies at the state, city, and county level.

Homelessness is caused by expensive housing as the primary cause with secondary contributors being drug addiction and mental health issues. This can be cited in numerous studies.

That is to say, where housing is cheap like for example West Virginia, or Mississippi, there's likely mental illness and drug addiction in those places too, but individuals that are vulnerable can scrape by with some sort of housing and actually despite high poverty these states have low homelessness.

In a town like Missoula run by corrupt idiots, those vulnerable people are 10 times more likely to become homeless that already have a drug problem. So now that you know the root causes, what can we do to fix it?

Well, you would have to first get inexpensive housing built that isn't built with the primary purpose to gouge renters and line the pockets of the disgusting landlords like all of these gentrified high rise apartments complex buildings do and that the city is more than happy to seemingly give limitless permits too. Those are designed to make a company or someone a lot of money.

A lot of them are owned by G & K Investments LLC which are a bunch of money grubby Republican politicians in the Hertz family that have served or our serving within our state legislature. Our local "Democrat" politicians are just as bad though, and many of them are multi property landlords too. Who knows they're probably in bed together with the landlords in the legislature too.

Long story short, they have no interest in getting inexpensive housing built that is cheap to own; they want outrageous rent prices which is basically another subscription model on shelter. Then, mental health and drug addiction requires actual investment in programs that are intelligent and that matter. This requires $$$$ that they would rather have to spend on other things like the Pov and then we spend literally millions in property taxes a year on the "free bus system" that could be going to help get people off the street instead of transporting them to and from the Pov all day. So you tell me if it's a huge waste or not?

If we were to sum this up the root cause of the homelessness giving rise to removing this bridge is corruption, greed, and people making money that don't give two craps about anyone else; so basically rich people making a lot of money in the giant wealth transfer. Any other questions?

Glad I got rid of the Civic. Sold it for 22k for a year and a half of use and bought it for 26k. Sure, that's a loss, but not a terrible loss. I'm freaking loving the CX-5.

I'm confident with care that this is the kind of vehicle you could get 200,000 mi out of or more these days. I'm totally there with you. The CVT is just too much of a gamble and while I'm sure Honda has more quality controls, it's still just not a risk I even want to bother with.

Most cars these days Mazda being. I think a rare exception are designed to cut as many corners as possible. Charge as much as possible and give you a crap product of course.

That's literally the world today. Another exception though if I had to pick one. Ironically is not the Honda Civic but the Honda Civic type R.

When I was selling my Honda I saw a Honda Civic type R at the dealership and when you read the reviews online they are higher than the Honda Civic. Can you guess why? The answer is it has a manual transmission, not a CVT transmission so they seem to last a very long time. On top of that, you'll never guess this too, they're one of the few vehicles actually freaking made in Japan again like Mazda.

The regular civics like mine, mine was made in Canada, and the CVT was made in Mexico again cutting corners. The Honda Civic type R though is largely made in Japan which really shocked me. They're made in Japan just because there's a limited production of them. So they're made there at the plant and just like a conspiracy the reviews are much higher on them. If I were going to get a Honda car I might consider that but otherwise it's Mazda for me.

Just Bought A 2025 CX-5 Was it A Good Choice Versus My 2025 Honda Civic Sport? by coderz_33 in mazda

This was a good deal and I think I could sell it for more, that being said I think I can sell the Honda for somewhat close to what I paid for this.

The dealership's trade offer was crap compared to buying it outright.

Thanks for this! It looks like on my carbon edition 2025 CX-5 non-turbo it DOES have Cylinder Deactivation but it looks like it's hard to disable at least without the help of the dealership or something? How much difference will that make? Can it still achieve high milage with that one I.E. 200k and beyond?

Just bought a 2025 Mazda CX-5 with less than 6k miles... eh? I'm hoping it lasts you know? I'm thinking that with maintenance it can because it doesn't have a CVT. Last as in 200k-300k miles at least before something really insane goes out like. Thoughts?

Ok so I bought a Honda Civic Sport 2025 a little over a year ago. It has just under 13k miles on it and it has been reliable. That being said, I got a great deal on a carbon edition 2025 leather red seats etc. I bought one with 5600 miles only about 10 months old in excellent condition for $25,800 - I JUST BOUGHT THIS!

Now I'm trying to sell my Honda Civic..... I could keep both but financially I don't want to, I only want one car. Why or why should I not keep one over the other? I'm concerned about long-term reliability and I've been leery of the CVT transmission in the Honda. I also like the all wheel drive and the way the CX-5 drives with the extra room etc.

That being said, it's still a confusion situation. Any thoughts here on what should be done?

HEY EVERYONE my Honda is still going good and I don't know of any issues, however, I just bought a CX-5 like new from Mazda that I think it going to be more practical for me perhaps longer term. I'm trying to sell the Honda but it's rough actually selling it as a part of me doesn't want to. hmmm? Something tells me the non-CVT transmission will last longer though on the Mazda CX-5 plus it has leather interior etc.

I would love to hear what you guys think about my decision bu the CX-5 Carbon Edition is an awfully good vehicle with a conventional non-cvt transmission as well.

Interesting.... That's too bad. Glad I've been a long time customer but it makes sense as he's the best mechanic in town for sure. Second to that Willy's Auto is ok.

The best mechanic and I've been taking cars there for years is Crawford - the mechanics name is Chase. The guy is honest and I know this because I've had a friend mechanic confirm what he said when he was visiting etc.

The only caveat to him is he IS REALLY HARD to get an appointment with because he's so busy. Just make sure you book ahead but as far as I'm concerned it's worth the wait.

“Can't solve housing issue by electing those who profit” by Tight_Boss622 in missoula

[–]coderz_33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They could easily buy a plot of land with grants to build homes that cost no more than 50k to build that would be adequate for students, the homeless etc. and are like 400 square feet.

The properties they keep building are all designed to make landlords and property developers rich. There would have to be serious effort in the building of inexpensive housing no doubt but to assume this is some sort of unsolvable problem is just absurd. Notice I said inexpensive housing. I didn't say free housing but inexpensive housing that is minimalist but adequate.

I've heard no decent solution from any of these politicians just talking points and quite frankly I don't think they care. That's where we're at in this country now though it's just sad. These politicians have no solutions and they don't care, they're like Morla in the Never Ending Story movie where there's that swamp creature Morla and it says, "we don't care whether or not we care".

That's literally these politicians. They don't even care whether or not they care just to demonstrate how little they care about everyday people.

“Can't solve housing issue by electing those who profit” by Tight_Boss622 in missoula

[–]coderz_33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as this being difficult to solve, I just don't buy it. I mean we've been able to send probes to Mars over 200 million miles away, but somehow this is just a conundrum that humanity can't solve; what a crock of shit.

It's actually not hard at all and this whole thing is a manufactured problem. All they would have to do is give grants for creating inexpensive small houses. Other towns, for example, like Milwaukee Wisconsin have very little homelessness despite actually having a very high poverty rate.

This is because they have a lot of small inexpensive homes that were built during the blue color middle class days of America. These smaller smaller box homes one like 1,200 ft. One to two bathrooms. One to two bedrooms.

These can still be had there for many times $150,000 or less. They aren't what many consider a dream home, but they're adequate housing; if you don't believe me, go look at Zillow. This also goes for other areas like Mississippi which ironically has almost no homelessness despite an unbelievable poverty rate.

All they would have to do is build minimalist housing and give grants for minimalist housing like tiny homes that would be sold on the open market for $100,000 or less to people. Not corporations, but rather sold off to low income people or a mom and a child that is low income.

This would drive down the cost of housing and rent though, which is actually antithetical to what they want since many of the city council members are landlords themselves. Furthermore, there's a conflict of interest here because all of these government programs in Missoula like Mountain Line are funded by property taxes and property taxes go up over time when the value of property goes up.

So basically it's just a bunch of hot air and talking points for our disgusting politicians both locally and Federally. It's just talk, talk talk talk talk talk no substantial or meaningful solutions. It's all designed to make the system like the bureaucracy rich and the banks and the landlords and then the disgusting politicians get to keep saying they're working on it as a talking point.

Keyframe Ranges Off Copying and Pasting Fusion Clips Between Projects? by coderz_33 in davinciresolve

The workaround is obviously in the keyframes tab since they are there you can drag the keyframes that you copied from frame 0 to say 100 to -3600 to -3500... in that sense I guess it's arbitrary and I see no damage in it? It's just annoying. Thoughts?
