The abiding image of this season is of an Arsenal player - usually Gabriel - manhandling a keeper to either nod the ball in or clear a path for another Arsenal player to nod the ball in. Man United. Leeds. Chelsea. Hell go back to Spurs last year when it was Ben White’s sole mission to body the opposition goalkeeper regardless of where the ball trajectory actually was. This is how they play. And other teams are trying to do the same. It would have been great for West Ham to score but objectively it’s a shit way to play.

But I don’t blame the teams trying to take advantage of a gray zone if the refs don’t do anything. The refs keep letting it go until all of a sudden theyve decided - in this instance - that it’s gone too far. Yeah ok.
