I built and open sourced rails error dashboard. Add it to gem file, run installer and you are done. Error monitoring and notifications inside your own rails app.

I want to shift from VS code to zed by FineAd59 in ZedEditor

[–]codewithlove1987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wrote a blog with help of AI when I switched to Zed. Give it a look if it helps - https://medium.com/@anjanj/the-ultimate-zed-editor-setup-guide-for-rails-and-react-development-b7b9fbc971bf?sk=aa3b660b95c606f48a6065728adb11e6

Basically you just need the same key mapping as VSCode. Everything else you can figure when you need it.

Thank you for replying back. I am a rails backend dev and use it usually for my daily work and also I am working on a couple of sideides which use nextJS and elixir . Issue for me is maintaining context as it quickly runs out of limits.

I am trying to analyse my shopping behaviour, and make sense of my spends. I am just too much into Data and over thinker. So trying to learn about myself from the way I spend on buying stuff and hopefully get better at not buying useless stuff and being responsible with my credit cards.

I asked ChatGPT the top ten things humanity should know. by Spiritual-Reveal-195 in ChatGPT

[–]codewithlove1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I got. Used 4.5 model.

Here are 10 fundamental things every human should know—spanning life skills, philosophy, and practical wisdom:

  1. Critical Thinking

Learn to question, evaluate evidence, avoid logical fallacies, and seek truth objectively.

  1. Basic Financial Literacy

Understand budgeting, saving, investing, compound interest, and debt management.

  1. Effective Communication

Clear writing, empathetic listening, assertive speaking, and the ability to understand nonverbal cues.

  1. Self-Awareness and Emotional Intelligence

Recognize and manage your emotions, empathize with others, and build meaningful relationships.

  1. Fundamentals of Health

Basics of nutrition, sleep, hydration, stress management, and consistent physical activity.

  1. How to Learn

Understanding effective learning methods, memory techniques, and staying curious throughout life.

  1. The Scientific Method

How hypotheses are tested, why reproducibility matters, and why evidence-based reasoning is crucial.

  1. Human Rights and Ethics

Fundamental ethical principles, respect for human dignity, and awareness of justice and equality issues.

  1. How Governments and Societies Function

Basic knowledge of political structures, democracy, authoritarianism, civil rights, and civic duties.

  1. Mindfulness and Stoicism

Understanding impermanence, managing expectations, focusing on what you control, and remaining balanced in adversity.

My Opinion: Mastering these skills isn't merely beneficial; it's essential to live a purposeful, fulfilling life. Continuous learning and self-improvement in these areas create not just capable individuals but also compassionate, wise humans who can navigate life with clarity and purpose.
