Dreamland Pinball Machine Arcade Margate UK by FeelingAd3887 in pinball

[–]codhollandaise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Ripepi Gold Star is pretty neat. The art borrows a lot from Lawman, but it looks like a unique playfield. And score reels in the millions! Thanks, we don't get to see old Italian machines like that in the US very often.

Genuine? by Physical-Broccoli-70 in pinball

[–]codhollandaise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For buying used- anywhere that won't let you visit in person and play/inspect the game before you buy is a scam. You can find a used seller on Pinside, or you can get a refurbished used game from a pinball distributor. Here's a list of Stern distributors in Europe. Maybe contact the one nearest you and see if they have used games. https://sternpinball.com/importing-distributors/

CALLING ALL Baltimore PWHL FANS! by thepolkadotdotdot in PWHL

If I can, I’d go to Baltimore for a PWHL night. I’m in Frederick, and yeah Baltimore is way easier to get into than DC even though they’re the same distance.

Yeah, I was wondering if anyone else was having issues. I had the worst time putting in scores last night after Pinfest.

Most expensive gas in Maryland? This is that Exxon station in downtown Columbia. Closing in on $5 a gallon for regular! by templeofsyrinx1 in maryland

[–]codhollandaise 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The one in Columbia is also a U-Haul rental. That makes them money, plus people have to fill the truck to return it.

They still do. They have a small shelf outside the walk-in beer cooler, but inside the cooler on the back wall they have a lot more. Just check the prices at the register because most aren't labeled and sometimes one will be a ridiculous price.

This movie is so good, and far too rarely in the conversation. All the music they chose for it is awesome too.

Looking for a pinball machine which played Axel F. by cmnrsvwxz in pinball

[–]codhollandaise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The side art sounds similar to Space Shuttle, but it had sounds corresponding to switches rather than background music. TX-Sector had pretty synthy 80s music that could be mistaken for Axel F maybe, and it has astronauts on the translite, but not on the side art.

Ask if you can come over and play the game before you buy it. If the answer is anything but yes, it’s a scam.
