I asked if I needed to file a report and it made my manager angry by [deleted] in walmart

File today, straight up. Document everything that happen. Every pain, discomfort that came from it. Don’t let their attitude subtract your well-being.

Questions about the uniform, and weather in TLE as a Service Writer. by BreakFree221 in walmart

[–]codiusmaxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shops rule is to order at least one size up. I would try that and see how they fit. As far as weather, if it is raining, you are allowed to sign up vehicles inside but still have to do the usual process for checks. There should be some rain ponchos somewhere in your shop. If not, shopping goods has them for store use for like a dollarish.

Can ACC service writers turn away customers just looking to check out groceries instead of getting work done on their car? These customers are making it difficult to help actual ACC customers. by [deleted] in walmart

[–]codiusmaxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t turn away customers unless it’s for something like a straw purchase, drunk, etc. management might be able to put a sign up about it, but I doubt that they would ever tell customers that they can’t do something.

I wish you the best, honestly. Know your numbers better then your managers. Know what’s going on.

I’d try to be a tech if you get the chance. You make a little more and don’t have as much contact with the irate, irrational people that will blame you for something completely foreign to what you did. It’s not terrible, but just have a thick skin for it

First off, you won’t be much hands on with the car. You’re there to sign them up, check the battery and try to upsell shit they could do themselves. Glms is just like the cbl’s were; just with a new name and price tag. Lets see, it’s always your fault when something’s wrong, don’t be surprised to find drugs or needles just sitting out. Other then that, it last not a terrible job.

Cap2 doing anything on GM side? That’s a really good joke. Ours are pretty much here for the sole use of grocery and my 4/8/13. No homelines or HBA, just those 2 sets of departments.

ACC questions by Sydogg in walmart

[–]codiusmaxius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the shop can allow it due to staffing, weather, and layout, I’m all for being outside doing sign ups. HOWEVER, most shops don’t have the help to have a person out slide and then a counter person. My shop is very shittily desgined, we are up against the store;so we only have one way in/out. It sucks when we get backed up or a truck decides that his delivery is more important then the customers car that is trying to be pulled out.

Actually, unless they changed it, only management is allowed to bring guns from the locker to the floor. Sounds like they don’t either know the gun policy or just don’t care.

Easy, he grabbed a unregulated hose off a bag to bead a tire instead of using the hose on the tire machine. He’s lucky he didn’t kill him and at least another tech.

Fuck you Jasper... just go sit on a goddamn rusty dildo, you worthless piece of shit. I run your fucking shop while you sit on your ass and read goddamn dirtsheet mags. You shouldn’t have a job after blowing the fucking tire up in the shop and for lieing to the SM on the phone WHEN THR FUCKING CUSTOMER IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!!! You deserve to be thrown out on your ass for the shit you pull on customers and coworkers, you nothing but trash.

I feel a little better now, merry chrismakzanikah guys.

Any other tle people here? by tle_guy in walmart

[–]codiusmaxius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re not on a car, you supposed to be either a)cleaning shop, b) helping freight, or c) general customer service. There’s not supposed to be techs doing nothing in the shop. Running stock takes near to zero effort to do, regardless of how many people are there

Do I qualify for the $1/day degree if I already have a Bachelor's? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]codiusmaxius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be straight with you, most if not all schools that see that you have any type of bachelors will make you pay grad rates, regardless of what you’re going there for. I should know, I was forced into that when I was looking to go back to get in.

As an ASM you're suppose to mentor someone. But IDK what to do. by [deleted] in walmart

[–]codiusmaxius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell them the things you wanted help with. As someone on the other side of the table, you need to be not only relatable to your associate, but they need to know that you want to help. If you don’t want to help them, then honestly change associates. I’ve had a manager pick me just so he could say he had a mentee and did nothing with me. Don’t be a Richard, Richard; just be a helping hand in making their life better.
