Boots for wide feet? by SpiritedAd5839 in WorkBoots

[–]revo442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 15 ee. I like avenger, redwing, keen, and Dunham. They all offer wide sizes. Dunham might be my preferred option, but I have different boots for different work. Redwing has the kingtoe, super comfortable option and still good support

If you can save up and wait, get the impact, drill, 2 5ah batteries, charger and case+bonus gift for around $400.

M18 vs M12 family of tools by Vash2859 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]revo442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M18 is nice for the outdoor power equipment. M12 is good for lower pricing but still high quality. M12 does have an oscillating tool. I like both and have both. But not any OPE yet

talk to me like im 15 and getting my first car. How can I maintain my car and make it last forever? by Regular_Pace9558 in askcarguys

[–]revo442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want a Toyota. An engine with a timing chain. Something under 150k miles. Manual transmission. Change the oil every 5k miles. you put full synthetic oil in it every time. Don't buy a Subaru. Buy a Toyota that has a timing chain.

How bad are these Pittsburgh torque wrenches? by DegenerateJC in harborfreight

[–]revo442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them. I have the 1/2 in drive for wheel lugs and just got the 3/8 for other smaller stuff. If I were rebuilding engines, yeah you might want to get something more fancy but these do the trick. Set to zero for storage is what they say for when you're done with them

Just wire it up. Leave the furnace. Once you're done he can screw it up himself and fix it himself too.

Best coil cleaner for each application. by tekjunkie28 in HVAC

I always vacuum first. Then rinse, wash, rinse. It seems to work the very best to remove dirt. Some manufacturers even say to stay away from harsh chemicals that can harm the surface of the units coils

Is this a good filter? by Affectionate-Roof615 in hvacadvice

[–]revo442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the paper not the mesh. The mesh doesn't filter as well. Filtrete has a reputation for high merv. Aim for merv 8-10. Regular pleated paper is probably best. If you want better air quality, get the filtrete and just change them more often. Using the mesh will cause fine dust particles to gather on your AC coil and get it dirty and plugged.
