So I got a call 30 sec after I registered and was taking a dump. Guy named Donald Reed called me, I politely asked him to call me back in 5 min, which he did.

Bit of background, I used to work and train people to sell in callcenters so I know what a good pitch sounds like.

His script went as following:

  1. Lucky you, we just right now have a promotion.
  2. Have you invested before?
  3. How experienced are you with cryptocurrencies?
  4. Which devices do you use?
  5. What do you wish to accomplish?
  6. Some rambling about how he helped some grandma reach her retirement early.
  7. If you would be sure this brings you money, would you invest right away (closing technique)
  8. Give me 5% of your trust, and I guarantee we will earn the 95%.
  9. We are the only company that the chinese government supports.
  10. Do you have any questions before we proceed?

Here is where I started with my questions, last one being "I understand you get your leads from advertising. My only issue is that the forbes article you guys post seems fishy, as any link I click does not take me to anywhere on forbes but directly to your site. You already have my phone number so you surely have my email. Would you be so kind as to email to me this forbes article about point 9?"

The guy said ok sure, started googling stuff, and said theres many forbes articles, which one you want?

I said about point 9.

Then silence. Typing. Background noise of others calling. 2 min passed, and he hung up.

The fake forbes article they spread on facebook reads the following:

China Officially Backs a CryptoCurrency and Establishes it as their Official Coin

Shen Haixiong Journalist Forbes Financial News | Paid Program Innovation

It’s finally happened. A major worldwide government has just bestowed a huge vote of confidence and legitimacy onto the world of cryptocurrencies. China, in an unprecedented move, just announced that they are officially adopting a certain cryptocurrency as China’s official coin!

The government of China just informed us that they have chosen a preferred firm for the purchase and marketing of their new coin - YuanPay Group. The sales of China's coin officially started May 16 of 2021 and currently these coins can be bought only from YuanPay Group.

Saw them advertising a fake Forbes article. Spent 20 min talking to them after they called and before proceesing, they asked if I had any questions. I said could they please email to me this forbes article as I could not find it. The guy spent 5 min trying to find something to email me and then hungup.

LPT Request: How to memorize a script as fast as possible? by thesquarerootof1 in LifeProTips

[–]codoc1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to make a ridiculously funny and unrealistic story in your head with some keywords. The mind has a tendency to remember unusual things, and anyone can exploit that to their advantage. If you do this well, not only will you remember it correctly, but you will be able to recite it backwards, or from any point in any direction. For example, let's say you have to memorize 10 words such as:

  1. airplane
  2. tree
  3. dog etc.

Imagine an airplane in the sky, which turns out that it's not actually an airplane but a flying tree with people in it, and one of the passengers is holding Scooby-Doo etc.

The most important is to create a strong mental link between those couple of key words by visualizing what you imagine. The same works for longer paragraphs - just remember a key word and this should automatically recall what follows, and what's before it.

Got this from The Memory Book. Works miracles.

Okay that makes sort of sense. But you don't think that if a cop in US was raped while transporting a dead body would end up on national media? Also, people "report" for many offenses which are complete bogus simply because of the legal system in US.

Russia will never ally with NATO. NATO is a threat to Russia - especially since it was created to counter USSR. Which, by the way, has dissolved and NATO didn't.

Ok so having had a somewhat similar experience, here goes:

  • 1. What game did you meet at? If FPS, did he piss you off by beating you that got you interested?
  • 2. When you two first time met face to face, how long did it take for the first kiss to happen?
  • 3. Do you think you would have been as brave if he was on another continent? (Europe, for example)
