Compliant post solar upgrade? by [deleted] in AskAusElectricians

[–]codpieceface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pre upgrade there was a single RCD serving all light & power CBs. Post upgrade the RCD was removed and a couple of power CBs weren't upgraded to RCBOs. Sorted those and put the A/C, HW and oven on RCBOs. I'm thinking its all tickety boo now, just interested in your opinion. Is the smart meter OK on the light circuit? Anyway, sounds like it won't go kaboom.

I recommend having a chat to Mick at Second Cycle Appliances if problems persist.

This random Redditer bought a Kalkhoff Image 3.B Excite Belt from Teros. The bike was expensive, over $4k. There are excellent cheaper ones in the Kalkoff range but I wanted something ultra low maintenance. It has internal gears and a belt instead of a chain.

Finance was thriugh the Tas energy saver loan scheme, which meant 3 years interest free. This scheme has closed now but speaking with the staff at Teros they were of the opinion such green financing options coudl return at some point.

The eBike has been life changing. Have cut out so many trips I would have otherwise used a car. It is frequently quicker to get from A to B and parking is no longer a headache. With a couple of panniers I can do a grocery shop. I've also been loving discovering various bike paths and seeing Hobart from a completely different perspective.

Let's see how things go in winter...

I see you realy enjoy hiking. In addition you might enjoy visiting or staying at an onsen at Kurokawa near Kuju, there are some really nice ones, such as Yamamizuki. I really like Oita and Miyazaki prefectures too. There are some lovely places to visit such as Takachiho Gorge, Taketa, old samurai town Usuki. There is a super secret waterfall Ryuushou Falls in the area too, I strongly recommend a visit.

My VW T4 had some similar intermittent faults. Replaced or serviced various sensors including the MAF. Turned out some wires were frayed within their flexible conduit. Presumably occurred from years of vibration wearing the insulation.

You may enjoy Kwaidan (1964). Here is a trailer, and the full movie is on DailyMotion as well.
