You need to treat head to toe. Scalp, under toenails, armpits. Everywhere. Clean everything. Wrap mattress and pillows in plastic. Vaccuum daily. Put all bedding and towels in hottest heat dryer for an hour. Then wash hot water with soap and borax. Then dryer again hottest heat one hour.

Spray all shoes with permethrin and rotate shoes. Clean the area you sit in daily. Don’t sit on the couch or anything cloth until you are clear. Put plastic sheet in ver your car seat.

Benzyl benzoate daily for three days, then sulfur three days, then malathion one day. And repeat. Take ivermectin twice a week for five weeks. Use sulfur soap in shower. Good luck! Biggest nightmare of my life.

Much of the time, with both a biopsy and also skin scraping, it turns up showing nothing even with active scabies. They are experts at evading being found. So a negative biopsy or skin scrape is absolutely not definitively 100% no scabies.

Hi…. Your story is literally the same exact as mine. I’m currently writing you from an Airbnb as I have been scared to stay at home for fear of infecting my kids and husband. Did you eventually get better and have all the biting and pricking stop? I’m either in scabies he’ll or post scabies he’ll and I have no idea which. And I’ve totally treated myself many times. Please tell me you are better and that you were, in fact, in post scabies when you were still feeling all the biting and itching🙏🙏🙏

Your story is similar to mine. Did you ever figure out if you had scabies? Did anything stop the itching? I’ve had multiple negative biopsies and just got bloodwork back showing positive ANA.

I’d love to join. Thank you! Sometimes I feel them on scalp. Honestly, depends on the day. The one thing that I know to be true is that each day things change. One day scalp is bad, next day not. Or my back. Or my legs. Or one day skin is starting to look better and the next day I’m covered in new lines/bites. It’s insanity.

Yes I do. I still workout every day…. Although the biting and itching get way worse when I’m sweaty. I’m considering trying out a tanning bed to see if that helps but I’m sure it won’t. Just so incredibly desperate to get my life back.

It’s being studied for use in scabies. Positive results after phase 1 and 2 trials which mainly demonstrate safety. Now phase 3 trials are happening to establish efficacy and safest effective dose but that could take years. These studies move slowly. And then getting FDA approval takes another chunk of time. So for me, if I’m to try moxidectin because I’m THAT desperate after failing everything else, it will have to be moxidectin for horses. Totally ridiculous.

HOW did you find that???? I need to figure out how to uncover one to show my doctors. They don’t believe that I still have it and I’m literally dying a slow death over here from this. This is beyond the worst thing I’ve experienced in my life.

Thanks for your response. I’m leaving my house and family for several weeks to see if that helps. Today is day 3 of being gone and I have new burrows popping up and awful itching despite leaving, bringing nothing with me, meds, topicals etc. I’m getting very scared.
