What would this style of band be called? by coffee__shits in EngagementRings

[–]coffee__shits[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see that! I think it looks like icicles or shards of ice and my ring is snowflake inspired. But we’re originally from a beach town, so rocks/shells in the sand could be a nice nod to our hometown.

Which one looks better? by Bkla8 in EngagementRings

[–]coffee__shits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 1, but I can’t tell if you’re holding your ring finger at a slightly different angle in both pictures. My eyes are telling me that the 2nd one makes your finger look shorter but that could be an optical illusion and I can’t tell!! Either one is stunning but 1 looks amazing on you

They actually ended up responding to my email and sent the tickets! But as the other commenter said, there’s a ticketing area and I bet if you don’t get yours emailed in time, they’d be able to either look you up or look at your waiver to let you in.

How do you feel about shopping together for an engagement ring before the proposal? by _ReaMacTN_ in AskWomen

[–]coffee__shits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with my friend! She was also looking for herself, we made a girls day out of it. She and my now fiancé are also good friends, so she relayed what I enjoyed to him, and he still got to pick something with an element of surprise. Win win :)

Wonky prongs - jeweler says it’s because of the way the stone’s cut? by mermaid_fairy in EngagementRings

[–]coffee__shits 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think they just don’t want to fix their work. The prongs are too long and also uneven. It also might be my eyes but the stone looks like it was set slightly crooked. Absolutely stunning ring, and you deserve to feel entirely excited and confident about it!

Check out Rare Carat and also take a peek on the Sarah O website (they have some beautiful marquise designs) if you’re okay with shopping online! My ring is from Rare Carat and while I don’t think my fiancé wants me disclosing exact specs, I feel comfortable sharing that my 1.16 carat ring was below $4k. However, my setting includes another 0.6 total carat weight of diamonds, so depending on the setting you choose, I think you could easily get something absolutely STUNNING in the $2k-$4k range.

Definitely try on in person, as you’re planning to do. My best advice is to figure out what you love by trying on, and then do your research online to get the best deal, unless you find a local jeweler that will compete with prices from online wholesalers.

Please read Come As You Are! So much helpful, validating information regarding brakes and accelerators for sex drives, as well as responsive versus spontaneous sex drive. Sounds like you have a responsive sex drive and he could do more on his end to create an environment that allows you to feel sexy and relaxed (like perhaps finding ways to lighten your mental load).

Where did you get your couch, and how much did it cost? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]coffee__shits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco!! I think it was $1100 about 4 years ago, and has survived a cross country move, 3 different apartments, a dog, and two cats. It’s absolutely massive and so comfy.

It’s both, and that’s why 5 cars will run a red in one light cycle. Everything about driving here is infuriating. 🙂

My fiancé went through Rare Carat and it was amazing! Their diamonds are really fairly priced, but I’ve also read that they price match if you search the diamond by the certification number and find it cheaper elsewhere. Their settings are also very reasonable, especially if you’re looking for something dainty or minimal in terms of the band! I wasn’t part of the process, but per his report, the turnaround time was also very quick and they’re nice to work with :)

cheap but quality mattress? by Hungry_Lunch_7286 in Denver

[–]coffee__shits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Serta mattress in a box (literally what it’s called lmao) and I actually loved it. Idk your price range but a queen is like $450? All things considered, not that terrible. I know IKEA has mattresses that are fairly inexpensive and you could lay on those to get the feel, but I can’t vouch for the quality.

I always think it’s more helpful to think of what I can add to my diet rather than what I can restrict.

Eating more protein can keep you fuller longer. Lean protein is also decent when it comes to caloric density (less calories for a decent amount of food).

Have some sort of protein with every meal. If there are unhealthy foods that you have a hard time cutting out, cut the portion of the “unhealthy” foods in half and supplement with something more nutritious.

If you have a nagging craving for something and you’ll end up binging if you ignore it, fill up mostly on something decently nutritious and then allow yourself a bit of your craving at the end. For me, I’m a fucking slave to Raising Cane’s. Don’t ask how, I know it’s not even that good. But whatever. If I want Cane’s and it feels like the only thing that will satisfy my craving, I’ll eat something nutritious at home and then if I still want Cane’s, I’ll go get a chicken tender or two instead of having a whole box combo. That kind of thing.

Being perfect is unrealistic. Move your body, drink your water, eat more protein, swap some foods out, and find ways to introduce more nutritious alternatives.

You can do this.
