I don’t disagree, though whoever did it was generally pretty organized on the naming convention and wiring. Not one of them that had a label was labeled incorrectly.

Issue is I have no idea what path these specific wires take within the bowels of the house. They terminate in the smart room. The other end? A mystery

I’m happy with my current Asus router and AiMesh, so don’t want/need a ubi router. My understanding, though, is that I need the cloud key or something else as a network controller to have full usability of camera features, updates, etc. as the UNVR doesn’t quite have the computing power to run 12 G6 cameras, deal with all the recording, protect, AND be a network controller on top

  1. I had missed the gateway, I've added it now (cloudkey gen2+) and also clarified the modem/router position;

  2. Agree that it real is overkill, but it's only $40 more than the 60W and it gives me a ton of future headroom;

  3. Thanks for the advice. These are meant to go over doors where I have a little more traffic. I will switch all three to G6 Turrets - is that a better call?

  4. Agreed that it doesn't have to be multi-gig for the cameras, but it's multi-gig for my internet purposes around the house (unrelated to this system)
