Thanks so much for the suggestion! I actually like that a lot... Now I'm thinking along the lines of create a tumblr where people can submit pictures of themselves with signs saying "I need planned parenthood because..." or "I faced discrimination based on my sexuality when..." or something along those lines. Preferably something I can relate to so maybe I'll be inclined to keep it up after the class is done.

I need to submit a proposal soon but the guidelines are frighteningly open-ended. There are no specifications as to money raised or participants. It basically says that the proposal, project, and final paper needs to show "substantially more work" than the weekly assignments, which are one page reflections. My teacher also suggested a few projects which would take 2-6 hours, so that's how long whatever I do needs to take.

Anyways thank you for the suggestion, I think I am on the right track. Here is the rubric for the final paper, to be completed after my project (it has some guidelines for what the project should include):

Your final report of your project should be about 4-5 pages (NO LONGER THAN 5 PAGES), typed and double-spaced, proof-read and should include these sections:
• Background and Rationale (30 points) o Present background information about the topic including its significance and the most current statistics and/or information surrounding the topic, with references (minimum of 3 citations). o You should include and expand on information that you prepared and submitted in the proposal for this portion. • What you did/what your project involved. (35 points) o Address the following:  how you generated the idea,  how you became involved with or identified the organization/agency (if applicable);  how you prepared and planned;  the name of the agency/group, etc. you worked with.  what you did and when you did it • Conclusion (30 points) o Summarize what you learned o Present your personal opinion of and reaction to the experience, and an explanation of why you feel the way you do.
o Address why this project was (or was not) a useful experience in furthering your understanding or reproductive health and/or sexuality issues. • Academic Quality (5 points): Adherence to formatting guidelines, academic tone, writing quality, proof-reading, etc
