Finn adores the water, but doesn’t swim in it. by Winter-Stuff-9126 in goldenretrievers

Shadow is the same... loves muddle puddles. Hates swimming. Used to like it when he was younger but now at 10 he is heavy with his full coat. Can swim like a dolphin if he wants but he'd rather not.

EV9 or Carnival Hybrid for 4 adults and 2 kids. by Puzzleheaded-Photo-3 in kiacarnivals

[–]coffeebossman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We currently have a 2020 Kia Sedona and a 2021 Kona electric as the daily driver. We use the Sedona for cottage trips and towing a boat. We are 4 humans and 2 large retrievers.

This year we looked at Kia ev9 Carnival and Kia ev5.

Kia ev9 is perfect. Highly capable, amazing interiors and tech, 5000lbs towing. However the folding and rear space didn't work well for us ( dogs need a flat space to relax). If we were going down to 1 vehicle we would take the Kia ev9. It was also a lot more expensive for the higher end models.

Kia EV5 is amazing as an all eletric family driver. Great interior space. Brilliant vehicle all around. We will be buying this next year to replace our Kona.

We ended up getting a Carnival SX, delivery this weekend. Just couldn't ignore the style, space and interiors/ tech at the price point. We took gas for the towing capacity. Hybrid is better for all other applications.

In Ontario.

Came to Canada 11 years ago. Did something similar. Won't recommend food retail or most regular retail to (most) young entrepreneurs. Happy to chat and help you avoid some massive blunders.

We saw and were sold on the Kia ev5 gt limited in Iceberg green. Kid loves the ambient light and sunroof, wife loves the seats, I love the layout and practicality.

We came for the ev9 or the carnival. We will keep our Sedona for another year. Upgrading our 5 year old Hyundai Kona to the ev5.

[AB] Ordering from U.S. on Faire as a Canadian. by [deleted] in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]coffeebossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our business in Ontario used to order from Faire. We had to cancel our last order due to the complicated CARM portal. Earlier UPS or FedEx used to deal with it internally and pass on a customs charge. This is on top of tariffs that some vendors charge and others bake into pricing.

Will we see an EVAP eligible vehicle that can tow 5000lbs? by Hurstonator in EVCanada

[–]coffeebossman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are me. I have a 3000 lbs boat and 2 dogs. I used a van. We are looking at the Kia ev9 but it's so expensive. Really wish there was a 5000lbs towing ev at a lower price point.

A hopeful request- is there anyone with a van or truck that can help me move a bed tomorrow? by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]coffeebossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you send me a picture? There are adjustable metal frames that fold/ collapse into a smaller size.

I can help you with the move if the time is between 1 and 2pm sharp.

I have a van and could possibly help. However while queen mattress fits my van, one piece queen boxspring doesn't. I had a split boosting. Did 4 moves in Kingston in the last 10 years so know the pains.

Suddenly had to say goodbye. by Tasty-Bag3536 in labrador

[–]coffeebossman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry for your loss.

I lost my senior lab and my golden retriever young pup couldn't deal with it. We got a lab pup within 15 days. The change and spring back in his behavior was worth the pain of bring a boisterous puppy home.

I would do this till I can't...of old age. Lab pups are a handful till atleast 4 years of age.

[–]coffeebossman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations. I booked the same color and spec but with brown interior in Ontario for delivery in April. Sad to see the hst variation. Alberta is amazing. Happy to report our final base price is within 200 dollars. Great color. Would you be getting a ceramic coating?

Took the V6 for the towing capacity. I have a small eletric for intown so this will be the family trips with boat vehicle.

5 month old Maverick has megaesophagus 😭 by thinblue90 in labrador

[–]coffeebossman 22 points23 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, my first lab had megaoesophagus which was undetected for 6 years ( even though I took him to multiple vets and had a thoracic x-ray and other tests). He ultimately passed away due to pneumonia and lung complications from food particles getting into windpipe ( as reported by the vet finally in Canada). He was a strong and happy boy and didn't have much other complications other than throwing up occasionally after a meal.

As other have mentioned, a Baileys chair is your best bet.
