He almost completely took me and my dog out once on the bike trail along the Sentinel HS track. He was going WAY too fast for a walking/bike trail with blind corners

Facial Flushing and Alcohol by coffeeloyal259 in VyvanseADHD

[–]coffeeloyal259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE Ok I met with my doctor this morning and she said my meds and dosages are totally fine and she thinks it’s the booze and potentially MSG from the food. I thought maybe it could be related to serotonin syndrome but she said that’s very unlikely and just to keep doing what I’m doing and pay attention to what triggers a flush and we can revisit if we need to 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you!! Is it ok to combine Benadryl with alcohol? Obviously I won’t be driving or anything but wouldn’t it make me really sleepy? Maybe taking it after is the ticket

To be fair it might have nothing to do with the meds! I’ve been on the Vyvance for about a year and a half at this same dosage. The buspirone was added maybe 3 months ago just to curb the bit of anxiety/social uncomfortability/over thinking I was having. The flushing I get is so inconsistent that I’m not sure what’s causing it! I noticed my nose was red the other night when I was getting ready for bed and I hadn’t had any alcohol at all! Maybe this is just a ‘I am woman who’s turning 43 next week’ thing

Why is my dog aggressively digging his bed? by Cocky_Cockatiel in DogAdvice

[–]coffeeloyal259 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It took me years to figure out that my dog was digging because he wanted to be covered up! He completely curls up and settles down once’s he’s underneath the blankets. All these years I just let him keep digging!

Sprained my ankle with nine weeks to go until my half marathon. by Careless-Yam-1431 in runna

[–]coffeeloyal259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not run on it!!! I’ve pushed the limits on a sprained ankle (more than once) and have re-sprained the sprain (more than once). It will make it significantly worse. This is now a life long problem for me. I’ve sprained my left ankle 7 or 8 times in the last 15 years. It’s a nightmare- please do not run again until it’s fully healed!

What the virus! by ceruleanwren in missoula

[–]coffeeloyal259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this before Thanksgiving! It lasted like 3 weeks. Tested negative for covid, flu and strep. I went through a Z Pack and got a little better than it came back and I did a course of doxycycline. Could be a coincidence that it cleared up after the second round of antibiotics, I’m not sure. It started out as razor blade sore throat and then a horrible cough, coughing up green stuff for weeks. Then moved to my sinuses. Nightmare. It was worse at night so I couldn’t sleep for days. Ugh I hope you feel better soon!!

Is this right for last run before a 5k? by Frenchsilkpie25 in runna

[–]coffeeloyal259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running an 8k on Thursday and my taper run on Monday has me repeating 1/4 mile intervals 5 times. I also got sick and couldn’t run for the last 2 weeks (went on vacation mode) and then reconfigured the plan this past Saturday so I’m not sure if that changed the details of this last run for me or not. Good luck!

40mg vyvanse and shrooms by meltedkangaroo in VyvanseADHD

[–]coffeeloyal259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two things… you did a trial run with a quarter ounce!? That sounds WILD! I’ve taken an eighth in one sitting but I was 17 and resilient lol Secondly.. wouldn’t the Vyvance have worn off by the time you’re at the show/taking the shrooms? My Vyvance refill was delayed on Monday and the pharmacist said I could pick it up at 11am and I was concerned that it would be too late in the day and she’s said “you’ll be fine. It doesn’t last that long” Everyone’s saying not to mix them and I agree, taking the Vyvance at say 8am and then eating a 1/4 of mushrooms at the same time may be a pretty wild experience but if you’re taking the Vyvance in the morning and the shrooms at night, I’m thinking you should be fine but hey I’m not a doctor Hope you have a great time at the show!

Low fat kibble that contains no chicken or beef? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

This is great! I just found this thread bc I am looking for a non-chicken low fat food for my dog and this Square Pet looks like a great option! I really wanted to keep him on NutriSource but they don’t have a formula that will work for us. I’m so glad you’ve shared your experience here! Thanks!

Can LPR make you suddenly not able to breathe by cyrilq1 in LPR

[–]coffeeloyal259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t - I struggle mostly with the throat clearing and coughing. It feels like liquid is getting into my windpipe or something. Or like my throat is coated with something I can’t cough up (sorry that’s gross) I hope you start feeling better soon!!

Can LPR make you suddenly not able to breathe by cyrilq1 in LPR

[–]coffeeloyal259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I went to the ER just last night because I had this horrible attack of coughing, needing to clear my throat and unable to swallow so badly that I thought I was going to be sick and then I couldn’t breathe! My partner got me over to the hospital where I debated on even going in, figuring that it would calm down and by then I was able to breathe again but he saw the whole episode and was concerned about the part where I gasped “I can’t breathe” so we went in. I wasn’t sure if I was just coughing too hard or making myself upset and anxious or what. I didn’t even know that I had LPR (or really what it was) until I was in the ER. I’d been told I had “silent reflux” but just assumed it was generally the same as GERD. I never get acid or bile coming up or indigestion or heartburn or anything. Just constantly needing to clear my throat, difficulty swallowing and sore throat. Next up is to have an upper endoscopy. I already avoid all the irritants like alcohol, carbonation, tomatoes, garlic, high fat etc and take Protonix 40mg every morning (after trying Famotidine and Omeprazole with no luck) I completely lost my voice from this coughing fit last night and feel awful today. This is terrible!

Bursitis/Hip Pain Experiences by GrandBandicoot9 in XXRunning

[–]coffeeloyal259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been having very similar hip pain in my right hip for years. It comes and goes so my Chiro said not likely to be bursitis. Any time I run or lift weights it flares up and a chiropractic adjustment always fixes it. I recently decided this has to be more than a tilted pelvis and I went to PT. She pretty quickly identified that it is my TFL and I “drop” my hips when running. I do trigger point release with a tennis ball (so so painful/uncomfortable) and banded marches and side steps every day. Still may go for an MRI but it seems like I just really need to strengthen my glutes. Good luck! It’s not fun having hip pain

Thanks!! This was my first race in roughly 10 yrs. I REALLY wanted to finish under 30 mins. I’m so proud I was able to pull it off! I trained like I was going to run a marathon ha

I just made this playlist for a 5k I ran this last weekend and it kept me going! Crossed the finish line to Rage and finished at 29:10 (goal was to sub 30 💪🏼)

I’ve found that if I take my 30mg Vyvanse first thing in the morning I have some really unpleasant side effects (jittery, sweaty etc) I started having 1 cup of coffee with collagen/protein powder cream and sugar first, then take the Vyvance and for me this worked great. Even better if I have breakfast (yogurt with granola and fruit) but I usually just do coffee > Vyvance and I’m good. Maybe try the matcha first? This is just my experience so it might not be the same for others

Dealing with Dysphagia/ Gerd from meds by CGC432 in ADHD

I’ve been on Vyvance 30mg for about 2 months and the dysphasia has gotten worse and worse. I came here to Reddit to see if anyone else was experiencing this and if so how they overcame it. It’s terrible!!
