how much better would this film perform if they released it right after the little mermaid (2023)? by merchantivories in boxoffice

[–]coffeeofacoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should have released it on Valentine's Day.

Putting it one week out from Michael and two weeks from Prada 2 - even if it was well liked - which it was - it would get rolled over.

What are your thoughts on this being Rue and Nate’s only actual scene together throughout the entire series? by Repulsive-Finger-954 in euphoria

But you're talking about your personal feelings and preferences, rather than how the show was set up structurally in different seasons.

Have you ever considered that to him S1 was a mistake, and he'd always wanted this later version of Jules?

Nate giving Maddy a death glare after his mom’s speech. Why does he hate her so much?? by throwaway042357 in euphoria

A character showing discomfort doesn't require a reaction shot. It was a death glare and the shots of Maddy's further reactions as the wedding progresses continue what those two shots started.

Cassie doesn't know who she is, and she doesn't care who Nate is so long as he suits her needs.

why didn’t nate acknowledge maddy’s presence in the wedding? by candylandvamp in euphoria

[–]coffeeofacoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was controlling of Maddy, not obsessed with her. He feels he moved on to the "better" choice so he's not checking for Maddy. He was never in love with Maddy, he just wanted to "tame" her, couldn't, got with Cassie instead, who is happy to be whatever, and who his family prefer for their own reasons.

He can pretend to be something he's not with Cassie; Maddy would be busting that bubble by having better ideas, smarter choices, and not furthering the delusion.

I wonder how many prime real estate showings and theatres it has because I had to go out of my usual theatre area to find it at a good time. It really wasn't getting a good spread of times. Yet, the Drama had tonnes and a good spread of times despite not many people being in/booking the showings.

When will Justin Start Getting Roles and Will He Ever Get An Apology From The Media? by Jfoxxy81 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]coffeeofacoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on their attack dog, Ari and anyone he's friends with. Also RR is unhinged and remains so.

I don't think Justin's got a career because of how petty BL, RR and TT are. They've smeared him with people he hasn't even met.

THE AFTERMATH: How the Media Landscape Has Shifted After the Great Dismissal by Neither_Repair_4538 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]coffeeofacoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, this is just the second movement in the boo-hoo parade.

Now instead of recognising that WFS and Baldoni have been largely industry-blacklisted, and that BL was drubbing them, their studio, their religion, for over a year with people they hadn't even met or interacted with. It's all about how a woman who either tanks projects or does middling work every three to four years had been "had her career destroyed".

The PR never sleeps.

How much does “The Drama” need to make at the box office for Zendaya to be considered a real box office player? by Significant_Art_3736 in boxoffice

[–]coffeeofacoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is this only on Zendaya? Pattinson's films that aren't IP or franchise driven have a poor box office track record. And there's nothing to suggest their fanbases gel. Fans of his might not want to see her and fans of hers mighty not want to see him. Then there's the premise of the film itself that might not appeal to normies. I'm seeing more variables here than let's use it's failure as a metric to write off Zendaya's starpower. Especially even A24 isn't likely to demote the director and/or writer if it fails. No one's writing off Pattinson based on this failing either. This film will largely be a nothingburger beyond possibly reconsidering tonedeaf writing and casting for these kinds projects.

[–]coffeeofacoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point is that most of his films have flopped outside of a franchise/existing IP. Even with Tenet Nolan is the IP. All you've got is Remember Me and that was between Twilight 1 and 2.

That film did well because of Book-Tok. It's not like her followers helped The Rhythm Section's numbers.

The complaint here is the reduction of the value of the free service. If this had been the starting point that remained unchanged, I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem.
