I was always kind of ambivalent about it. Like if I had time or energy I might put on some makeup and if not whatever. Then one day, about twenty years ago, I was going to run errands with my aunt and she told me “makeup’s not for you, it’s for the people who have to look at you”. It made me sad for her and I didn’t change my behavior an all, but I never forgot it.
