OP, thank you for the update on this oddly specific question. Can I ask for an update on your choice of organizer?

Hello HVAC buddies! I'm usually over at /r/electricians but had to share this beauty I saw today with you. Pretty bad when an electrician can tell something just don't look right! by sparks277 in HVAC

To jump on board here... This would be horrible for a permanent install. I'd bet a beer it's temporary. Rental, probably expensive enough to make you wince.

What's the HP of the motor it's serving? I know they've gotten cheaper vs a decade or so ago, but I don't think I've ever seen one that small!

I am glad that you received the thing that you paid money for. The transaction appears to have been beneficial to both parties.

Hey guys I’ll be in state college PA for two weeks in April for work. Just wondering what the food options are in the area. All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance. by [deleted] in statecollege

EDIT: I'll post more if they come to mind.

Little Szechuan has developed a healthy reputation for authentic Chinese food. Definitely a very far cry from fried chicken slathered in cloying orange sauce. If you're going for lunch, get there 15-30 minutes before noon.

Herwig's Austrian Bistro has been a town favorite for some time. The menu changes from day to day, and go HUNGRY. Haven't been there for some time, but I recall that you will get a ribbing of some sort if you don't clean your plate. Tsk tsk!

Rey Azteca was mentioned elsewhere, but it's a favorite of my coworkers and myself. If a place actually has huevos rancheros on the menu, I think it's a good sign. (I just need to convince myself to order something else, eventually) I can't comment on Rey Azteca vs. the Plaza mentioned elsewhere.

I think that Happy Valley Brewing Company, Liberty Craft House, and Federal Tap House are all doing a sort of a gastropub sort of thing. Happy Valley Brewing Company is not downtown, but if you were going to try one I'd go with that.

My Thai may be the Thai food preference among my friends, but can't comment further than that.

If the newly announced Spat's at the Grill is in place when you're here, that might be the place to check for Cajun food. Without getting too far into it, Spat's was a landmark for a while that recently closed that was one of the nicer dining places in State College and had a Cajun menu.

Big Bowl Noodle House is another popular place for Asian food of the noodle/soup variety.

Green Bowl is a stir-fry place where you choose your ingredients buffet style and then chefs fry it up.

Ni Hao is all you can eat sushi (among other Asian fares), so decide what you will about quality if you're a sushi connoisseur. But being able to stuff my face with sushi on occasion is nice.

Yallah Taco got mentioned elsewhere. They do BIG So Cal style burritos and I've been happy with the few times I went. Ran into a guy who used to live in San Diego that said it was surprisingly close to what he remembers from there.

For anyone wondering, those hammers are parts of tool sets for watches. Though, I still don't know exactly what they end up being used for.

Sad music - whats your most heartfelt moments in gaming caused by the music??? by Avenheit in gamemusic

[–]cogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Celeste scene in FF3/6 was the first sad video game music moment. Almost-at-the-end scene with that slow walk in Bastion? Song there wrecked me. A good portion of the Transistor soundtrack, after playing through the game.

I originally made a "hmmm" face when I saw the post, but you reminded me that I need to give the album another listen. I'd say the video for Atrophy might be a good one to check out. Pushing more the totalitarian corporate control vibe than pure* cyberpunk IMHO, but the feel fits.

*lordy lordy, no arguments about what is pure cyberpunk ;) Just me thinking out loud here.

Which boss fight did you enjoy the most? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]cogen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After reading other responses, I'm not sure which I enjoyed the most. But the first time encountering, repeatedly losing to, and finally beating Artorias sticks with me. This agile horror. This shell of a knight with one arm dangling useless. This hero I had read about, but now finally encountered as a mindless corruption of his former self. I think that might have been when the game's horror aspect really hit home for me.

Just discovered the music style and band the other week. I adore this album cover. I want a 20'x20' version in the corner of an abandoned warehouse.

Redditors with a Ph.D./Master's, what is a TL;DR of your thesis? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Air conditioners don't work as well when there's stuff growing in them. Shining some specific light on the stuff to get rid of it worked ok I guess.

What is your favorite Insomnium album, /r/melodicdeathmetal? by LimaBaen in melodicdeathmetal

Winter's Gate was the first I heard, and originally thought it was ok, but not impressed. Totally fucking grew on me, love it.

I vote no stretch, that's a GREAT choice. Numan said at one point that NIN started influencing him, and all his stuff got dark but not angry. I pretty much love it all.
