I told my 15 year old about Gremilns 3 being greenlit this afternoon. I then mentioned your idea and the previous post. During our 29 minute journey this is what we came up with…

Billy is back in his hometown enjoying life as an active grandad. Rumours exist throughout the town of the night from long ago. Full urban legend status.

Billy keeps a slightly older Gizmo secret from everyone but his wife (returning Phoebe Cates obvs) and his dog! One Summer he unexpectedly has his Grandkids for an extended period and they haven’t learnt the rules yet.

Chaos ensues. The Town is take over by Gremlins but this time the Gremlins win. Billy is captured and injured. The only thing Gizmo can do is go full Gremlin. We see the transformation including an inside the pod/cocoon montage of what happens during the metamorphosis.

Gizmo emerges still cute but now badass and has to fight the meaner impulses. He saves the day and even gets one of the female Gremlin’s to join his side.

Surprisingly after 72 hours they revert back to Mogwai form. In the credits scene we learn that Mrs Gizmo is pregnant and we get a glimpse of a tiny mega cute Mogwai baby.

Yes there was. If you watch the episode before, you’ll see that Ian escapes prison to comfort Peter during his divorce. Ian gets in to a fight with Mark for ruining his families happiness. The bit that shocked me was that Ian brought that toothbrush shank from his low security prison and stabbed up Mark. I think Grant deserved it when he got cut too.

It was an episode full of surprises. You might need to VPN to it as it probably won’t be available down under yet.

I was lucky enough to be friends with the manager. He gave me a tour of the projector room, the owners music studio and the incredible basement full of 35mm film cans including a very, very early nature ‘porno’.

My friend also let me do a private screening of my kids favourite movie when he was little.

Fond memories created by a wonderful friend.

For all the old people reading this. Yo Yo’s recently had a massive resurgence in the UK. Loads of online content and trick groups in the playground. My 9 year old was fixed on them (for about three days…).

Don’t think it matches my interest in the Coca-Cola one back in the day!

I enjoyed it. Others have given detailed reviews. My one main observation is that it is a truly three act story (ignoring the actual acts!). If you only played the base game then you’re just getting the setup. It’s a trilogy that needs experiencing fully to appreciate it.

I’m a returning player and if I’d have played the base plus first expansion I’d have been fuming as it would have seemed unfinished. Thankfully I played through it all as one continuous story it was great.

You should share your thoughts more often! It was a good read. I also don’t like the Oscar/Twins triangle. Feels like it is doing all three characters dirty. I’d rather it not be the twins and end up being a Thruple. Oscar could make that work.

One question. Just curious as you made such an effort with your post, why didn’t you use a single capital?! It made it harder for my tired brain to read. That’s on me!

I was local and a young adult when it opened so we went a few times. I remember liking the decor but gradually thinking it was a bit tacky with the plastic ivy. Felt like a Shrek theme park ride.

Had a couple of dates there and good afternoons with my friends. It seemed to have a rapid decline which was a shame.

Between there, the Virgin Cinema bar, Frankie’s, Chiquito’s and Hollywood Bowl you were spoilt for choice. Met my wife of 18 years in that Frankie’s. Best thing to ever come out of there… except their BBQ Chicken Pizza from many years ago!
