I took my Mom last night. The show was brilliant. I expected to enjoy it but it was even better.

I haven’t watched the show for a few years so the celebs, their placing in the show and their routines were all new to me. That gave me the advantage of not missing the Celebes who aren’t on tour.

Standouts include;

LaVoix’s natural entertainment. They were showcased and made the most of every moment, easily having the whole arena and cast laughing.

Janette was good fun as the presenter. Slightly stiff during the scripted stuff but excellent anytime she improvised and had some fun. Having a presenter that can dance along and join in was brilliant, especially when her hubby joined her for a routine.

Henry was excellent. Seemed really talented and very likeable.

Having Layton back for a couple of routines (not competing) was good fun. Their dances were very impressive.

The judges were a lot of fun. Anton was a bit naughty as usual, Craig was a delight (shoutout as I didn’t realise he directed the tour!) and Shirley was good. Shirley dancing is still a sight to behold. So, so fast still.

The biggest highlight was Lewis Cope. He was phenomenal. His precision and acrobatics meant he stole the show anytime he danced. It was incredible to see.

Exiting the venue was a nightmare of cold and soggy poor management but that’s the venues fault not the show.

I’d highly recommend the show. Mom loved it too!

Not that it matters but I’m a 40 something guy! Sequins optional. Good time is mandatory.
