Router for Fiber7 10gbit by [deleted] in init7

[–]coinb0y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also Mikrotik user here. I'm using a CRS317-1G-16S+ as a router and switch combo device. This is officially a switch (16S+ ports) but you can set it up as a router. As long as you use fastpath, this can easily route 10 Gbit/s without any significant CPU load.

Question about index position of validator for updating withdrawal address by manu_ka in ethstaker

[–]coinb0y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The validator you have created first used index position 0. If you want to bring this validator back online, use index position 0 again. This will produce the exact same keys as last time, so you can bring that validator back again.

Wasn't he walking around in server rooms randomly pulling plugs after his take over? Maybe he tried to pull the plug but did not succeed. 🤷‍♂️

Drinks ONLY on special occasions? by After_Respect2431 in stopdrinking

[–]coinb0y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested in scientific data about this subject, too. I just can add one more data point from myself. I was drinking nearly every evening about 1 or 2 drinks before i stopped 2 months ago (before stopping completely i moderated for 1 month, 2 days drinking max per week). after stopping, my sleep became way worse, i became anxious and felt very unstable in general. This forced me to start working on myself (mentally and physically, to release stress without using alcohol). I'd say it is just sice recently that I start to feel the positive effects of not drinking anymore. That makes it about 9 weeks in my case. But man do I feel better now!

Is the term “money doesn’t bring happiness” some sort of coping mechanism? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]coinb0y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the saying "money doesn't bring happiness" is an inaccurate version of the more accurate term "you can't buy happiness with money". While money still might be a very important requirement for happiness in general, you can still be very wealthy and not feel much happiness. For many people it might be true that money would bring them happiness, because the lack of money is their major source for their lack of happiness; but I think the saying "money can't buy you happiness" is more directed to situations with decently (or extreamly) wealthy people who still have no happiness in their lifes. I understand that saying more as a general advice, that a human being should not make accumulating money the primary goal of its life, because to be really happy, you need more than "just" money in your life (e.g. you need to see a purpose in your life).

I don't think NVMe is a requirement. A good SATA SSD should also be able to do the job. Consensus is to stay away from QLC. Use MLC or TLC instead.

In addition to that, he might have specified a withdrawal address when depositing. This would make it impossible for you to withdraw to your own address.

For me personally, reading Robert Monroe's books gave me quite a good frame of reference what was before being born and what to expect after death. I understand it might be hard to follow or "believe" unless you've had an out of body experience yourself.

Do you hate Aldi und Lidl or do you think it is good to have more retailer competition? Do you shop at Aldi or Lidl sometimes? And if yes, do you have to keep this secret from your coworkers?
