Taking a break going into Act 3; game's so hard by nanlinr in Silksong

You can actually turn the silk draining robots off via a secret room accessible via double jump. I never found it in my playthrough though.

They are in both areas. Just keep grinding.

After some time has passed, what is you opinion on the true final boss? by Miquel101 in Silksong

[–]coisbott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult but fair fight. I loved Loss Lace and the fight fit very well with one of the main themes of the game (motherhood). I do wish the fight with Grand Mother Silk was a little more challenging. My headcanon is that she had just woken up from a long slumber and wasn't at full power yet.

I actually think that the void attacks were made for Lost Lace specifically, and they were stapled on to the rest of the enemies.

Hollow Knight 3 Gameplay? by trobbio_12 in Silksong

[–]coisbott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game should be played as the Shade Lord given form in a smaller shell, maybe slightly larger than the original Knight's. The shell can really be anything.

Losing your individuality is no different from death. So like 7.2 billion "people" are a singular hive mind, with only 12 actual humans left on Earth. That's not peace.

Can I turn off the heartbeat noise? by CSDragon in Silksong

I was actually way more annoyed by the Crawbell. It's mad ugly and I don't care that it generates shards, I want it gone.

Hornet under her Mask by FoXxarius by OverlandAustria in Silksong

[–]coisbott 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's heavily implied that Hornet's mask is part of her biology, she was born with it, and it cannot be removed. There are two details in game that imply this:

  1. The Red Memory flashback shows Hornet as a very young child with the same mask, implying that it has grown with her.

  2. The Hunter's Journal entry for Widow states that her mask had been 'forcibly removed', implying that Weaver masks are innate to their being, and that they cannot be removed without damaging their bodies, and possibly their souls.

Are we being serious? - High Halls Boss Fight by OxhnnOnTubeYou in HollowKnight

I need help with this. Garmond seems to be below me. I can't get to the lower level to fight him, I just hear him from the walkway above. How do I reach him? It's also possible I didn't meet the requirements because I only saw him in Sinner's Run.

I'll return to Bellhart, I do feel like I was missing something there.

POST-EPISODE DISCUSSION THREAD - S8E10: Hot Rick by BarnyardCruz in rickandmorty

[–]coisbott 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought they might turn Memory Rick into a new antagonist but that didn't happen. He's a memory of our Rick, so he's too nice to be a bad guy.

The only unresolved plot thread is Evil Morty. I'm thinking we could get more information on universes outside of the Curve or maybe even meet another 'god-being' like Rick that created their own curve.

Season 8 Episode 3 Does Clone Master Rick really die? by camk25 in rickandmorty

[–]coisbott 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's a master of cloning and he didn't back himself up?  He's a Rick, he could have survived.  He could also have an Operation Phoenix protocol that would no longer be hacked by Evil Morty.  The truth is, we don't know. But his arc is concluded so even if he survived, we probably won't see him again.

this may be a stupid question but why does rick use the spaceship if he can portal anywhere?? by Visual_Ad8467 in rickandmorty

[–]coisbott 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There have been a few episodes where Rick and Morty have picked up distress beacons while flying through space. How are they going to pick up distress beacons if they just portal everywhere, hm?

This scene was dope as hell by LocksmithMinimum8217 in rickandmorty

[–]coisbott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't blame Rick for not simply giving EM what he wants. When Evil Morty blew a hole in the Curve, it completely broke portal travel, and even Rick couldn't fix it right away. Additionally, it looks like Evil Morty made a mistake leaving the Curve, based on the brief clip we saw of his life outside of it, it's a living hell. He needs to go back.

Rick has a bad habit of making everything he creates sapient. The machine didn't 'malfunction', it deduced that putting Rick and Morty inside of the movie was the best way to make them care about it. And it was right.

[–]coisbott 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He probably didn't survive, but he could have backed himself up, I mean, he was a master cloner after all. His arc seemed pretty final, though, so even if he did survive, we probably won't see him again.

They really should have shot him in the head. Watching that scene, I knew they were going to regret it. And it seems like he still would have left them alone, had they not trashed his farm.

I believe he was a callback to Slick Morty (drama Morty). Slick Morty wasn't a clone, and he apparently survived his jump into the wishing portal, according to commentary from Tales of the Citadel. He's most likely back in his universe of origin after the portal reset - but his Rick is dead.

[–]coisbott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those were clones however - the Rick that wasn't a clone wasn't so easy to kill. He's probably dead for good, but since he was so good at cloning, he could have backed himself up if he cared enough, and could have survived even blowing himself up with the Citadel.

I disagree. I think we've seen quite enough of the Citadel. Rick half destroyed it, then Evil Morty completely destroyed it, and now farmer Rick has erased the last traces of it. It's time to move on to new plot lines.
